Firsty Free allows eligible users to access essential mobile data at no cost. The service is supported entirely by advertisements.
Eligibility depends on:
The country your phone number is registered in
The country you are currently located in
If Firsty Free is not visible in your app, availability may depend on your location, registered phone number country, and whether your device is supported for eSIM in the app. Eligibility is determined automatically by our system.
Device compatibility: Firsty Free is offered together with installing a Firsty eSIM. If the app does not recognise your phone model as eSIM-compatible, Firsty Free may not appear even when your country and location are eligible; this protects you from starting a flow your device may not be able to complete. See Is your device eSIM compatible? for how to check your phone. If your manufacturer and device settings show that your phone does support eSIM but Firsty still does not offer Firsty Free, use the support section in the Firsty app so our team can review it.
eSIM Requirement
If your account is eligible for Firsty Free and you already have a Firsty eSIM installed with a paid plan, you can switch to Firsty Free directly in the app.
Simply select the “Switch to Firsty Free” option to start using the free, ad-supported connection.
If you do not yet see Firsty Free as a plan option, install the latest app update and review the checks under What if I don’t see Firsty Free in my app? below. You can still install your eSIM and connect using a paid plan in the meantime.
What if I don’t see Firsty Free in my app?
If Firsty Free does not appear as an option:
Make sure your app is updated to the latest version
Confirm your registered phone number is from a supported country (see Who is Firsty Free Available to? below)
Confirm your current location is supported for Firsty Free in the app
Confirm your phone supports eSIM for your exact model and region (see Is your device eSIM compatible?)
I’m eligible but I only see paid plans
If your number and location should qualify for Firsty Free but the app only shows paid options (for example daily or monthly plans, with no Firsty Free choice), try these steps before contacting support:
Update the app to the latest version from your app store.
Sign out and sign back in: open Firsty settings, log out completely, then log in again. This refreshes your account so the app can load the correct plan options.
Turn off your VPN (and any similar “accelerator” apps), force-quit Firsty, reopen the app, and sign in again. VPNs are useful when travelling, but they can sometimes stop the app from loading your eligibility correctly.
These steps do not guarantee Firsty Free will appear, since region, device, and other rules still apply, but they fix the issue for many customers when the app is showing an outdated session.
If the Free option still does not appear after these checks, use the support section in the Firsty app so our team can review your account and eligibility.
How Does Firsty Free Work?
With Firsty Free, you watch a short advertisement in the app to earn 20 MB of data. You can watch up to 15 advertisements per day, for up to 300 MB of data per day.
Each advertisement earns 20 MB of data.
Speeds are up to 1 Mbps, designed for essential use such as messaging, email, and navigation. It may not be sufficient for streaming, video calls, or hotspot usage.
Your earned data stacks, so you can watch several advertisements in a row to build up your allowance.
Earned data stays valid for 7 days.
You do not need WiFi to watch advertisements inside the Firsty app.
Once you have watched 15 advertisements in a day, you cannot watch more until the next day. Data you have already earned keeps working. If you need more data or higher speeds, you can purchase a Classic bundle or an Unlimited plan.
Note: If your app shows 30-minute sessions per advertisement instead of data amounts, you are on the earlier version of Firsty Free. Firsty is gradually moving everyone to the updated experience. See the Firsty Legacy plans article for how the earlier version works.

What Apps Can You Use?
Firsty Free allows access to applications like WhatsApp, Email, Uber, and other essential apps at no cost. For streaming, social media, or higher-speed browsing, you may want to purchase a Classic data bundle or an Unlimited plan.
What If You Run Out of Data?
If you use up your earned data, your data access will pause temporarily. Watch another advertisement to earn more data and reconnect instantly, as long as you have not reached the daily limit of 15 advertisements.
Who is Firsty Free Available to?
Firsty Free is only available to customers whose registered phone number originates from one of the specific countries listed below. Important: This list of eligible phone numbers is much shorter than the list of countries you can visit. If your phone number's country code is not explicitly on this list, you are not eligible for Firsty Free, even if the country is supported as a travel destination:
