If watching an advertisement on Firsty Free does not give you data, use the steps below to check your eligibility, your daily ad limit, and your network settings.
1. Check to ensure that you are visiting a country that supports Firsty Free
Firsty Free is not available in every country — including some places where paid Firsty plans still work.
Panama is a common example. Firsty Free does not work in Panama. If you are there, watching ads will not give you data. That is expected. Buy a paid plan in the app to connect, and skip the rest of this article.
Check your country in What is Firsty Free? (the travel destinations table, not the phone-number list) or on the Firsty website country page (for example Panama). If Firsty Free is Unavailable, ads cannot grant data there.

2. Verify your account and phone number eligibility
Firsty Free only works when your registered phone number is from a supported country and you are in a supported location for Firsty Free. See the eligibility sections in:
If you meet those criteria and ads still do not grant data, continue with the troubleshooting steps below (treat this as a technical or network issue, not a signup restriction).
Important: Phone numbers from regions not listed in the table below (such as Africa or most of the Middle East) are not eligible for Firsty Free. If you signed up with email, you can still use Firsty Free when the app offers it — you will need to verify a phone number from a supported country. If that number is already linked to another Firsty account, see the Signed up with email? section in What is Firsty Free?.
Firsty Free also has a daily ad limit. Each advertisement you watch earns 20 MB of data, and you can watch up to 15 ads per day (up to 300 MB per day). Once you have watched 15 ads, ads stop granting data until the next day, but data you have already earned keeps working and stays valid for 7 days.
Note: If you are on the earlier version of the Firsty app experience, you may still see 30-minute connection sessions per ad instead of earned data. Firsty is gradually moving everyone to the updated experience.

3. Check that your network settings are correct
Ensure that your APN is set correctly, you've selected the correct network, and data roaming is enabled. Additionally, turn off VPN or Apple Private Relay as these can interfere with app functionality. Try enabling airplane mode for 30 seconds and then disable it, before restarting the Firsty app.
If Firsty Free remains unavailable, consider purchasing a Classic data bundle or an Unlimited plan for uninterrupted internet access.
