How to solve for when you are unable to watch ads to get Firsty Free

Internet connection is not active

Firsty requires an active internet connection to be able to load ads. Ensure that you are connected to the internet before you press 'Free 30 min'.

Even if you don't have an active Firsty plan, you should still be able to watch an advertisement. If you are trying to watch an advertisement on the Firsty network, but you are not able to watch the advertisement, ensure that you have followed the troubleshooting steps outlined in this guide.

IP address masking

If you are currently unable to watch ads on the Firsty free plan, it can be due to some IP obfuscation, which can be as a result of using a VPN or a private relay. Some devices have this built-in, e.g., Apple's "Limit IP Tracking IP" Tracking feature.

How to solve this for iOS?

1. Turning off the Limit IP Address tracking Feature in the network settings of your device:

  • Open the Settings app.

  • Tap Cellular (or Mobile Data).

  • Tap Cellular Data Options (or Mobile Data Options).

  • Toggle Limit IP Address Tracking off.

2. Turning off VPN and private relays

  • Open the Settings app.

  • Tap your name at the top.

  • Tap iCloud.

  • Tap Private Relay.

  • Toggle Private Relay on or off.

How to solve this for Android?

1. Turning off VPN

  • Open the Settings app.

  • Search for "VPN"

  • Toggle VPN off

Firsty Free Daily Limits

Please note that there is a daily limit of 300MB on Firsty Free. If this 300MB threshold is reached, it's no longer possible to watch advertisements that day. You can continue watching advertisements after the 24 hour reset, or you can decide to upgrade to Comfort+/First Class for the remainder of the day.
