💡 Why this feature?
Did you change an automation by mistake, or does the new version perform worse than the old one? You can now go back to an earlier version in one click, without rebuilding it by hand.
⚙️ How it works
1. Open your automation in the editor.
2. Click the clock icon 🕒 in the top right to open the Version History.
3. Each version shows its date, author and status (Activated / Deactivated). Click a version to preview it in read-only mode.
4. Click Restore this version, then confirm.
The automation is replaced by the selected version. Your current version is saved to the history first, so you can always go back.
📌 Good to know
⚠️ If the automation is active, the restored version takes effect immediately.
Some things are not replaced by a restore: the automation's trigger messages (inbound message), draft template wording and Webhook keys stay as they are now.
Deleted templates: if the version contains an approved WhatsApp template that has since been deleted, it can't be restored. In that case, only versions created after this feature was released can be restored, and only for 7 days. After that, recreate the message or restore a more recent version.
A version that uses a tag, attribute or event that has since been deleted can't be restored either.
You can't restore while your changes are still saving, or while WAX Composer is editing the automation. Wait a few seconds and try again.
This feature is available for automations only (not campaigns).
