Turnover Clean - Exclusive Partner

Use this article when you have a Turnover Clean - Exclusive Partner job in the Host App. It explains what the job is about, what to have ready, what you should never skip, and what to do if something is not right.

Who this is for: Hosts and Cleaning Companies who are the dedicated cleaner for a Landing property.

What is this job about?

This is a turnover cleaning for a Landing property where you are the dedicated cleaner. A turnover cleaning resets a home between members, so it is spotless and fully staged for the next member to move in.

Landing assigns these jobs to you directly, rather than posting them for any Host to claim. You clean the homes at your assigned property to Landing Cleaning Standards.

This is a critical job. If you cannot make it, let Landing know as early as you can. Inside 24 hours of the start time you cannot release it yourself in the app, and releasing late adds a strike. See Landing Host Standards.

What do I need before I start?

Before you head to the property, check you have everything in this table. The times are a guide for a standard turnover at each home size.

Credential

Cleaning credential

Time on site

About 2 hours for a 1 or 2 bedroom home, about 3 hours for a 3 bedroom home

What to bring

Your cleaning kit, stain remover, a lint roller, pet stain and odor eliminator, a step stool, and your PEX Card. A carpet cleaning machine is recommended. See Building Your Host Cleaning Kit and What is a PEX Card?.

Access

Read the access instructions in your job before you arrive. See Getting In.

Don’t skip these

Complete every task in the Host App as instructed, and upload the photos each task asks for. A job is not complete until every task is done. Pay particular attention to these:

  1. "What to do with the keys." If the home has more than one set, leave one on the counter and return one to the KeyNest or wherever the access instructions say. If it has only one set, return it. Do this even if the home was unlocked when you arrived. Not returning keys adds a strike and can lead to removal from the platform.

  2. "Inspect the Home for Major Issues and Member Items." Check before you clean, and let Landing know about anything you find. See Assessing a Landing Home and Items Left Behind by a Member.

  3. "Trash Disposal." Take all the trash with you to the community dumpster, even if the property has valet trash. See Trash Disposal at a Landing Property.

What if something is not right?

The member has not moved out. Do not start. Let Landing know. Landing may ask you to clean another home first and come back, or to return another day.

Something is missing, such as linens or a vacuum. Let Landing know which items are missing, and Landing may set up a separate job to replace them.

The home needs more than a standard clean, such as heavy staining, strong odors, or a very dirty oven. Let Landing know. Landing may add pay for the extra work or set up a separate job. See Excessive Cleaning Issues and How to Treat Odors in a Landing Home.
