Updating roles, user details & access

Learn how to find, edit, and update user details or roles in the dashboard.

In this article we explore how to update user details in your account, such as their access, roles, or locations. Some details, like personal information, need to be managed by the user themselves on the mobile app.

Using Search, Filters or Sorting to Find people

Quickly sort your user list to find and refine the clinicians who's details need changing. Below you can see how to use and access the following:

Filtering to show only certain roles and other filters

Search bar: Useful to quickly find individuals

Checkbox to select individuals or everyone on the page

Columns Sort information based on their heading like 'date added'

Changing users roles or access

Select either individual users or groups of users to change their access or details, follow the below steps.

Changing Individual roles & revoking access

  1. Open Med App and navigate to 'Users'

  2. Use the checkboxes next to someone's name

    1. To revoke access; select the users you want to remove then click 'revoke users'

    2. To edit their details; click “Edit users” and select “Update Details”.

  3. After editing the details, click “Save” to apply the changes.

Bulk changing roles & access

  1. Open Med App and navigate to 'Users'

  2. Use 'filters' to refine who you can see. For example use roles like PGY1 or PGY2 to only show users with those roles assigned to them.

  3. Use the checkboxes next to each user name to select each person you'd like to change.

  4. Alternatively, use the check box at the top next to 'Name' to select all names on the page

  5. To revoke access, select the users you want to remove then click 'revoke users'

  6. To edit their details, click “Edit users” and select “Update Details”.

  7. You can only change their role or location access in bulk. They can update their personal details on the mobile app.

  8. After editing the details, click “Save” to apply the changes.

Updating email & mobile numbers

User details can only be updated by a hospital admin before they have setup their profile. read more. Once a profile has been setup it can edited 2 ways:

  1. Clinicians can update their own email/mobile numbers in their profile (see below)

  2. Med App can make these changes. (Press the chat button on this page to contact us).

Reviewing profiles

By clicking on a persons name you can go into the profile view to see their access, roles, mailouts they have been sent and events they have attended or been invited to. You can also run a .csv report from this page for the events.

  1. Use the search bar to find individual users you want to see.

  2. Alternatively, use filtering to sort based on role

  3. Clicking on the user’s name to open their profile.

  4. View useful engagement information about which hospital they are logged into and when they last logged in

Send a custom message when you update someone's access

If you change a person's access then you can send a custom push notification to them to let them know what has changed, or if they need to contact anyone if something is not right
