How do I host a "last-chance" auction opportunity?
How do I host a "last-chance" auction opportunity?
Updated over a week ago

In some cases, you and your organization may want to run a “last chance” auction event for any items that didn’t sell in your previous auction.

Below, we've covered how to set up that "last chance" opportunity for your participants and your bidders.

Step 1: Set the "end date" for all items that have already been won to a previous date.

You'll first want to edit your auction items that have already been claimed, and update their "end date" to a date in the past - such as the day prior to the initial auction's end date. Doing so will prevent anyone participating in this "last chance" opportunity from bidding on an item that's already been claimed.

Step 2: Set the "end date" for all remaining items to the new, "last chance" closing date.

Once you've edited the claimed items, you'll want to repeat the process for the remaining items - but instead of setting the "end date" to a date in the past, you'll want to set it to the date and time that you're concluding that "last chance" opportunity. Doing so allows those items to remain visible and available for bidding for those who choose to participate.

Step 3 (optional): Put all "last chance" items into a new section on your Auctions page.

We recommend putting all of the items included in this "last chance" opportunity into a new, separate "section" on your Auctions page.

This would make them more easily accessible for your bidders and help avoid any confusion on which items are available - and helps your organization track their progress more easily during (and after) your auction.
