A Bidder Number is a unique number assigned to each bidder that helps both you and the bidder identify their bids while an auction is active, especially when anonymity may be key.
Although it's not necessary for a bidder to know their bidder number off the top of their head, you may be asked occasionally how to identify a bidder number for someone who cannot remember theirs.
Step 1: Log into the auction page.
When a bidder logs into your auction, after using the "magic link" to verify their identity, they should see a green "Continue" button during the final login step.
Above that button, they should see their name - as well as their bidder number, displayed in parentheses right next to their name.
If your bidders need a refresher on logging in, click here.
Step 2: Locate their name and account once logged into the auction.
If your bidders are already logged in, they can also easily view their bidder number directly from whatever page that they are viewing.
If a bidder has forgotten their bidder number, they can always find it in the top right corner of the auction (next to their name).
