How do I check bidders out following my auction?
How do I check bidders out following my auction?
Updated over a week ago

Once your auction draws to a close, you'll want to direct your bidders towards making payment on any items that they've won (or, in some cases, contributed towards).

Below, we'll walk you through the process that bidders can take to "check out" for their auctions winnings, and the steps you can take to guide them if they have any questions in doing so.

Step 1 (optional): Pay for "Buy-It-Now" or "fixed price" items prior to an auction's close.

For "Buy It Now" or fixed-price items in an auction, auction "winners" for those items can check out and pay for those items in advance of the auction's closing.

They can also continue to bid on other items through the remainder of the auction - they will just have to check out and pay for any additional items they have won once the auction has concluded.

Step 2: Look for the notification via email or text of their winnings.

Once an auction has concluded, those with winning bids will be notified via email or text (or both!) that they've won - as well as what their specific winnings are.

These messages will include a link that your bidders can click, which will take them directly to a secure payment portal where they can submit their payment for their winnings.

Step 3: Encourage winners to complete payment.

While many of your winners will be eager to submit their payment and receive their items, there may be some folks who don't immediately take action.

For those folks, please check out our guide here on how to encourage your bidders to take that action and complete their payments.
