How do I see transactions from my auction in Donor Management?
Updated over a week ago

With our new, upgraded Auctions pages, your auction results will automatically sync into your Donor Management System – helping to keep your fundraising data together in one place.

Below, we'll show you how to view transactions from your auction in Donor Management, so you can easily identify and report on your event's fundraising endeavors.

Step 1: Log into Donor Management.

When your auction has concluded and your bidders have completed payment (either online or through an offline transaction), an "auction item purchase" will immediately display on the Giving page within Donor Management.

This transaction will also automatically be associated with a new auction campaign, which can also be found under your Campaigns page.

Step 2: Click on the "Giving" or the "Contacts" tab.

You should be able to review the fundraising information for your auction in either of the two tabs mentioned above; however, you may want to be mindful as to which of the two tabs you select.

As a general rule, "Contacts" will show you all of your donors who contributed to your auction only once - where "Giving" will show you each individual transaction made towards the auction, which can results in individuals being included multiple times.

For example, if a bidder wins three separate auction items and then pays for the items through our online checkout feature, there will be three individual transactions that appear in Donor Management for that bidder under "Giving" - but will only appear once under "Contacts" as being associated with the event.

Step 3: Locate and expand (if applicable) the "giving graph" at the top of the page.

You should see see a new “revenue line” on the graph within the Giving tab that’s specifically designated to track your revenue from your Auctions purchases.
