How do I know when to use text-to-give and when to use bulk text messaging?
Updated over a month ago

Note: To utilize text-to-give, text-to-pledge, or bulk text messages, you must have text messaging enabled in your 'Donor Management' account. Need help setting that up? Click here!

1) When should I use text-to-give?

Use text-to-give to allow existing and new donors to text your organization's unique ten-digit number and receive an automated response with a link to your intended giving page.

Example: You promote your organization's giving campaign by distributing marketing materials, including a unique number your supporters can use to access your donation page and make their contribution from the convenience of their phone!

2) When should I use bulk text messaging?

Like an e-mail blast, bulk text messaging sends messages to multiple contacts.

Use this feature to allow donors to reply if they would like and have their response recorded in 'Donor Management'. The sender will receive an e-mail notification anytime a donor sends a response.

Example: Your organization's Spring Gala is quickly approaching and you want to follow up with loyal donors who have not yet sent an RSVP. Using bulk text messaging, you send a reminder, asking folks to confirm if they will attend.
