Original vs New Dashboard: What Has Changed, Page by Page

A side-by-side comparison of every page in the original dashboard and the new one.

Written by Paulo

If you are moving between the original OneLocal Merchant Dashboard and the new one, this article shows you what is different on each page — what has been renamed, what has been improved, and what is not there yet.

For background on the original dashboard, see All You Need to Know About the OneLocal Dashboard.

The products themselves have not changed — only the names in the navigation. "Local" has been dropped to keep the menu simple.

Home

Original: a Stats section plus an Activity Feed of live updates across your connected accounts. See Introducing the New Activity Feed.

New: the same idea, with more control:

  • Notifications prompting you to connect important accounts, such as your Google Business Profile.

  • A "Last 30 days at a glance" summary of your performance metrics.

  • The Activity Feed is now Needs Attention, with filters for all vs unread, assigned, and items already marked as Done.

  • You can also filter by lead source: messages, missed calls, reviews and website forms.

  • Click any notification to act on it directly — reply, mark it as Done, or dismiss it to remove it entirely. Acting on a notification takes you to the right page.

Performance

Original: a single static page of metrics across five widgets — Leads, Reviews, Site, Organic Search and Google Business Profile — filtered by the last 7, 30, 60 or 90 days. See Getting Started with the Performance Tab.

New: a layout closer to AgencyAnalytics, with the same underlying data:

  • An Overview tab bringing the important metrics into one view.

  • Dedicated tabs for Website & SEO, Google Profile and Reviews.

  • Wider date filters: 30 days, 2, 3 or 6 months, 1 year, or a custom date range.

Both versions still need your Google Analytics and Google Business Profile accounts connected to pull in analytics data. Read more about connecting your Google and Facebook accounts.

OneSite customers: your Google Analytics account must be connected to your OneSite first. If that step is skipped, your performance widgets will be empty — there is no way around this.

Conversations (previously LocalMessages)

Original: LocalMessages, covering SMS and calls with your customers. See Welcome to LocalMessages.

New: renamed Conversations, because the page covers messages, calls and the insights behind them. The core SMS and calling functionality is unchanged. What is new:

  • Bulk delete for messages.

  • Bulk messages are easier to reach, with the button moved above the messages list. See sending messages in bulk.

  • You can hide or show the contact details panel on the right.

  • Simplified tabs: Inbox, Call Log, Bulk Messages, Scheduled and Insights.

  • Call Log and Bulk Messages now show their own metrics at the top of the page.

  • A clearer New Message pop-up.

Reviews (previously LocalReviews)

Original: LocalReviews. See Getting Started with LocalReviews.

New: more filtering and clearer wording:

  • Key review metrics stay pinned to the top of the page as you move between tabs.

  • Filter by source (Google, OneLocal Survey, or both), sentiment (positive, neutral, negative), who generated the request, and star rating — just click a rating in the Rating Breakdown.

  • Wording now makes clear whether a review is public, and encourages you to reach out by SMS to resolve a negative review directly with the customer.

  • Analytics can be filtered by 30 days, 2, 3 or 6 months, 1 year, or a custom range.

  • Requests can be filtered by Sent vs Scheduled.

Website (previously LocalSite)

Original: one Website page for everybody, even though customers are on one of two different website products.

New: the page matches the website you actually have.

  • OneSite customers get a page built around OneSite, with links into your editor and preview. See What Is OneSite? and How to Edit Your OneSite Website.

  • Duda customers get a page that links to your Duda editor and preview, with suggested help articles for Duda.

If your Website page is showing the wrong product, message our Support team and we will correct it.

Job Watch

Original: no equivalent page.

New: Job Watch is our name for the AI call answering (IVR) and SMS lead nurturing tools. See Meet Job Watch: AI Call Answering and Lead Nurturing.

Contacts (previously LocalContacts)

Original: LocalContacts, showing up to 25 contacts per page. See Getting Started With LocalContacts.

New: the same contact database, easier to work with:

  • Filter by tags and segments — especially useful if you send SMS promotions in bulk.

  • Tags are visible directly in the main Contacts list.

  • Choose how many contacts to show per page: 10, 25, 50, 100, 500 or 1,000.

  • Improved duplicate handling — when you Review & Resolve duplicates you now choose which details get merged and which record is kept as the main contact.

Ads

Ads is unchanged. Your ads data continues to come through AgencyAnalytics, exactly as it does today, because there is no direct Google Ads connection available to us yet.

Help Center

The look has been updated to match the new dashboard. Everything else — how you search articles, and how you submit a request to our Support team — works exactly as before.

Settings

Original: to see the different Settings options you had to click into one, then back out to the main Settings page, and in again.

New: Settings has been rebuilt so every section stays on the same page. No more clicking in and out to find what you need.

Content Calendar

Content Calendar is temporarily unavailable while we fix an issue with posting to social platforms. This applies to both dashboards.

If anything else you use looks like it is missing, the original dashboard is unchanged and you can switch back at your next login. See Choosing Your Dashboard: Original or New.
