Go to Mapping to find the list of Organisations & Plans that need to be mapped to a customer. All charges need to be mapped to a customer.
Review the Confirmed tab to look for contacts missing an email address. The client won’t be notified or able to set up their direct debit. If you are missing contacts, follow these steps
$ Charges (10 - 15 mins)
Review the Charges table and exclude any charges you don’t want to collect
Exclude any plans e.g. Ledgers that you don’t want to Recharge.
💰 Billing in Stripe (15 - 20 mins)
Connect your Stripe account on our integration / payments page
Complete the verification process
Go to Account Status and ensure that there’s nothing outstanding. A common outstanding request is adding your support email in the business details page.
Turn on direct debit (BECS/BACS/ACH) in your region - Setup BECS Direct Debit on Stripe
Apply for our Stripe credits with Rechargly
💳 Billing Migration (1 - 4 weeks) (Optional)
Request migration using the Migration Request Template
Share migration data with vault@rechargly.com
Follow the migration steps for New Zealand or Australia & the UK.
🔌 Bulk Connections (15 mins)
Integrate all of the clients you’re setting up for Recharging from the Connections. We will automatically match the organisations in your Xero to the ones we're trying to match in Rechargly.
In some cases, bulk connections may not be enabled on your account. Below is the screenshot of what it should look like. If it’s not available, contact support and we’ll enable it for your account.
🧾 Billing and Invoicing (15 mins)
Create Rechargly Invoice template in Xero Blue (to ensure Rechargly invoices aren’t collected by any other billing platform)
Decide whether you want to add an admin fee to each invoice. If you want to add an admin fee, you need to request this through support on our app.
Set what vendor discount will be pass onto your clients from the Billing page
🎙️ Client communication (0.5 - 2 hours)
Get familiar with the emails that will be sent to your clients Rechargly Agreement Emails
Get familiar with the emails that will go to your clients Communication from Rechargly when you migrate your customers
Set up the Email Headers (cc and reply to) emails that will be sent by Rechargly (notifications@rechargly.com). Here's an article explaining why this step is important
Notify your clients of the transition to Rechargly

Set the accounting code for disbursements
Choose Stripe as billing method
Set billing terms

Go to your contacts and ensure you have Stripe created as a contact
Go to the integrations page and refresh the integration so it will fetch the new contact
