Intro to your downloadable Patient App (Admin Panel)

Learn how your practice’s downloadable Patient App works, how patients find it, and how branding personalizes after login.

Overview

RepeatMD gives your practice a downloadable mobile app without building or maintaining your own. Patients download MyRepeat: Patient Rewards from the app store, log in with their phone number, and see your practice’s branding — custom icon, colors, and content — in the app.

This article is for practice owners and staff explaining the app to patients and troubleshooting common download questions.

Before You Start

  • The app is listed in stores as MyRepeat: Patient Rewards — patients cannot search your practice name directly.

  • After login, the home-screen icon updates to your practice’s custom app icon.

  • The app title on the home screen remains Patient Rewards (not your practice name).

  • Mobile web is available as a fallback, but the native app provides a better experience.

Why It Matters

A branded mobile app keeps your practice top-of-mind between visits:

  • Patients access rewards, shop, and memberships from their home screen.

  • Your branding (icon, colors, hero image) reinforces your practice identity.

  • Download banners on mobile web nudge patients toward the native app automatically.

How It Works

App store distribution: One universal app (MyRepeat: Patient Rewards) serves all RepeatMD practices. Your practice is identified after the patient logs in with their phone number.

Branding after login: Once authenticated, the app icon on the patient’s home screen changes to your custom icon. It stays branded until the patient logs out.

Download prompts: When patients use the mobile web version, automatic banners prompt them to download the native app — similar to how major retailers prompt app downloads from their mobile websites.

Multiple practices: A patient can connect to more than one RepeatMD practice. Rewards and RepeatCash earned at one location cannot be used at another.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Help a patient download the app

  1. Tell the patient to search MyRepeat: Patient Rewards in the App Store or Google Play.

  2. Download and open the app.

  3. Enter their phone number and tap Log in or Sign up.

  4. Enter the verification code.

  5. If new, scan your Internal QR code at check-in to link their account to your practice.

  6. Confirm the app icon on their home screen updates to your practice branding.

Update your app icon

  1. Submit the updated icon to your CSM.

  2. Allow 1–2 days for the icon to propagate through the next app store release.

Best Practices and Pro Tips

Common Mistakes and FAQs

Q: Can patients search for our practice in the app store?

A: No. They search MyRepeat: Patient Rewards. Your branding appears after login.

Q: Can I design my own app icon?

A: Yes. Follow Design your mobile app icon (Admin Panel) and submit to your CSM. Allow 1–2 days for the update.

Q: The icon isn’t updating to our branding. Why?

A: The patient is logged out or logged into a different practice’s account.

Q: Can patients use mobile web instead of the app?

A: Yes, but the native app provides a better experience. Download banners appear automatically on smartphones.

Q: Can I turn off download banners?

A: Yes. Contact your CSM to enable or disable mobile app download banners.

Q: Can a patient be connected to more than one practice?

A: Yes. Rewards and RepeatCash are location-specific and cannot transfer between practices.

Q: Can new patients find us without visiting the office?

A: Yes, if you promote the app on social media or share download instructions. RepeatMD does not market to patients directly.

Q: Does the app name change to our practice name after branding?

A: No. The home-screen label stays Patient Rewards. Only the icon changes to your branding.
