The Enable Generator New Proposal Flow setting turns on the new guided proposal wizard for the Generator job type. Once it is on, your sales team can build generator proposals with the same step-by-step flow used for other job types, including new Package and Adders steps, making proposals faster to build and more consistent across your team.

Step 1: Click your profile and select “Settings” from the dropdown.

Step 2: Under “Sales & Proposals”, click “Proposal Settings”.

Step 3: Click the “Edit” icon.

Step 4: Locate and turn the “Enable Generator New Proposal Flow” toggle on.

Step 5: Scroll back up and click “Update” to save the changes.

A contractor that sells home standby generators wants every rep to quote generators the same way. The admin turns on Enable Generator New Proposal Flow in Proposal Settings and clicks Update. From then on, when a rep creates a new proposal and selects the Generator job type, they go through the new wizard and choose from ready-made packages and adders.

Set up your generator packages in Manage Database > Generator > Packages before turning the setting on, so reps have packages to choose from on day one. Let your sales team know before you switch it on.

Problem: The toggle cannot be changed

Click the Edit icon on the Proposal Settings card first, and make sure you are logged in with an admin account.

Problem: The setting turned off again after I left the page

Turn the toggle on again and click Update. Changes are saved only after you click Update.

Problem: Sales reps still see the old generator proposal flow

Confirm the setting shows On in Proposal Settings, then ask the rep to refresh the page and start a new proposal.
