The Background section allows you to select or change the background of your photo. With this tool, you can easily highlight the main subject of your image and make your project look more cohesive.
You can also upload your own background by tapping the cloud icon, which is located in the left-hand corner of the background panel. After that, tap the “+” button, select the file you need, and upload it.
What to know about uploading your own background:
You can upload a photo if you’re using Android, or a photo or video if you’re on iOS.
Uploaded backgrounds can’t be edited, so make sure the file has the same format as your project – otherwise, it may appear stretched, cropped, or resized incorrectly.
You can also use backgrounds from our collection or simply choose a color.
For your convenience, all backgrounds are divided into sections:
Color — In this section, you can choose any background color. If the color you need isn’t in the default list, you can easily find it yourself. To do this, tap the palette icon. In the menu that opens, you can:
— Enter a HEX color code by tapping the input field;
— Manually pick a color from the palette;
— Use the eyedropper tool to choose a color directly from your image;
— Select a shade from your Favorites by tapping the flag icon.
Gradient — In this section, you can select a gradient background to add a bit more variety to your image. It’s not possible to create your own gradient, but if you have a suitable image, you can upload it by tapping the cloud icon.
Textures — In this section, you’ll find a wide selection of backgrounds for any occasion.
Animated — This section includes a variety of animated backgrounds that can add a unique touch to your video.
If you decide not to use a background:
For Android: Simply tap the crossed-out circle icon in the Color or Gradient sections.
For iOS: Tap the arrow icon in the top-left corner to undo your last step.
If you need to remove the background of a photo beforehand, you can use the Remove Background tool.
