Projects you create in the editor are saved only on the device where you created them. They aren’t stored in the cloud, and they don’t sync between devices or with the web version.
What happens if I delete or reinstall the app?
When the app is deleted, all projects on that device are deleted too. Signing in to the same account again won’t bring them back, and our team can’t restore them because we don’t keep a copy.
Your subscription isn’t affected. To get it back, open the menu (three lines in the top-left corner) → My Account → tap Restore at the bottom.
Can I open my projects on another phone, tablet or computer?
Not yet. A project can only be edited on the device where it was created. Projects from your phone also won’t appear on instories.com: the website shows only projects created in the browser. We’re working on syncing between devices.
To continue on another device, save the finished video or image to your gallery, move it to the other device, and add it to a new project there as media.
Where are my AI results?
Results of AI tools are collected in My Projects → AI Generations. They are linked to your account, so make sure you’re signed in with the same account. Pull the My Projects screen down to refresh the list.
How to keep your projects safe
Save finished projects to Photos or Files right after you make them.
If you’re moving to a new iPhone, use Apple’s Quick Start or restore the new iPhone from an iCloud backup.
Need more storage? Clear the cache instead of deleting the app — your projects stay safe.
If the app freezes or crashes, message us before deleting it. Most issues can be fixed without reinstalling.
