The timer you see on the Lock Screen or at the top of your iPhone screen is a Live Activity from Instories. It shows a limited-time discount offer on a subscription and appears if you minimized the app while the offer screen was open.
The timer can stay visible even after you close the app. It’s only a reminder: nothing will be charged unless you decide to make a purchase. If you tap it, the offer opens in the app.
How to remove the timer now
On the Lock Screen, swipe the Instories timer to the left and tap Clear.
How to turn these timers off
Open iPhone Settings.
Find Instories in the list of apps.
Turn off Live Activities.
