If Instories doesn’t show your photos, or nothing happens when you tap to add media to a template, the app most likely doesn’t have full access to your gallery.
On iPhone
Open iPhone Settings → Apps → Instories → Photos.
Choose Full Access. With Limited Access, the app sees only the photos you selected, and with None it sees nothing.
Close Instories completely, open it again and add your photos.
If your photos are stored in iCloud, they need to download to your phone first, so keep a stable internet connection. You can also go to Settings → Photos and choose Download and Keep Originals.
On Android
Open Settings → Apps (or See all apps) → Instories → Permissions.
Open Photos and videos. On older Android versions, it may be called Files and media or Storage.
Allow access to all photos and videos.
Close Instories completely and open it again.
Still can’t add photos?
Update Instories to the latest version and restart your device.
If the problem happens only in one template while others work, tell us the template’s name.
Send us a short screen recording of what happens when you try to add photos.
