What is a Premium Bet?
A Detailed Guide to Placing Premium Bets on Pre-Match and In-Play Sports Markets
A Premium Bet is a special betting option available in the Sportsbook market. It is available across different sports and does not affect the liquidity of the Exchange.
Premium Bets can be placed in both Pre-Match and In-Play markets.
Pre-Match: Bets can be placed before the match or event starts.
In-Play: Bets can be placed while the match or event is ongoing.
How Does a Premium Bet Work?
Premium Bets allow users to place bets on available Sportsbook markets based on the displayed odds and betting options.
For example, consider the following market:
1st Innings – Chennai Super Kings SRL Total
In cricket, an innings refers to the period during which a team bats. An innings ends when all eligible batters are dismissed or when the allocated number of overs has been completed.
Suppose the market displays an Over/Under 159.5 option.
Over 159.5
Selecting Over 159.5 means betting that Chennai Super Kings SRL will score 160 runs or more in the first innings.
For example:
If the total score is 160 or more → Over 159.5 wins.
If the total score is 159 or less → Over 159.5 loses.
Under 158
Selecting Under 158 means betting that Chennai Super Kings SRL will score 158 runs or fewer in the first innings.
For example:
If the total score is 158 or less → Under 158 wins.
If the total score is 159 or more → Under 158 loses.
Note: Always check the relevant market rules, betting line, and odds carefully before placing a bet.
What Are the Odds in a Premium Bet?
The numbers displayed in the betting market are known as Odds. Odds are used to determine the potential return for a particular betting selection.
Each bet may have a predefined Minimum Stake and Maximum Stake. Users can select their preferred stake within the applicable limits based on the available odds.
What Happens If the Odds Change Before the Bet Is Placed?
The odds may change between the time the bet slip is created and the time the bet is successfully confirmed.
In this situation, the “Accept at Any Odds” option may be used.
If “Accept at Any Odds” is selected, the bet may be confirmed at the updated odds if the odds change before the bet is successfully placed.
If this option is not selected, a change in odds may require the updated odds to be accepted before the bet can be confirmed.
Important: Always review the market, odds, stake, and other details shown on the bet slip before confirming a bet. Once a bet is successfully confirmed, it will be settled according to the applicable market rules and terms.
Where Can Premium Bets Be Placed?
Premium Bets may be available across different sports and can generally be placed in the following types of markets:
Pre-Match Market
Bets can be placed on available markets before the match or event begins.
In-Play Market
Bets can be placed on available markets while the match or event is in progress. Market conditions and odds may change continuously based on the live situation.
