Booking a job in Chariot doesn't lock everything in place. Most details can still be updated after booking — here's a quick reference for what you can change yourself and what requires extra steps.
What you can edit directly
These fields can be updated on any booked job without any special steps:
Move date and time — Editable from the estimate tab. If the job is on the schedule, changing the date will update the calendar automatically
Crew and truck assignments — Editable from the job schedule or the dispatch tab on the job page
Move addresses — Origin and destination can be updated on the intake tab
Job notes — Internal notes (office) and crew-facing notes are both editable at any time
Customer contact info — Name, phone, and email are editable on the customer profile or directly on the job
Editing the estimate on a booked job
You can edit and resend an estimate after booking. Keep in mind:
If the estimate is already signed and you make changes, the customer will need to re-sign the updated version
If the estimate hasn't been signed yet, you can edit freely and resend without any special steps
See Resending an Estimate After a Job Is Booked for step-by-step instructions.
Editing charges and pricing
Charges on an estimate can be edited before or after booking. Go to the Estimate tab on the job page, click Edit Estimate, and update the charges as needed. Resend to the customer if anything material changed.
Changing job status
You can move a job between stages (Reserved, Booked, Completed, etc.) from the job page at any time. If you need to cancel a job, see How to Cancel a Job.
Things that require Chariot support
A small number of changes require our team to assist:
Merging duplicate jobs or leads
Bulk data changes across multiple jobs
Reordering work dates
Updating estimate language on an existing job (intro, terms and conditions)
For anything on that list, reach out via the chat bubble or email support@chariotmove.com.
