Summary
Cuttable shows your entire Shopify catalog, not just the products you have already imported, and pulls richer product data, including Shopify metafields, vendor, and SEO fields, into your ads.
When your store updates, you can choose which products to bring into Cuttable for ad creation. Imported products will be analyzed and become Ad-Ready, ready to use in your campaigns.
Check out the walkthrough video below on how to import products into Cuttable from Shopify and set them up in Cuttable.
How to Make Products Ad-Ready
If your Shopify account is connected, the Products page in Cuttable shows your Shopify catalog, not only the products you have already imported. The From Shopify tab shows how many products in your store have not yet been imported into Cuttable, so you can always see what is left to bring in. This count stays accurate when you apply filters, and the tab does not appear if your Cuttable account is not connected to Shopify.
Make sure your Shopify account is connected (see Enable the Shopify Integration).
Go to the Products page in Cuttable.
Open the From Shopify tab. This lists the products from your Shopify store that you can set up in Cuttable. Products already imported are under Ad Ready.
Optional: search or filter your list by Status (Active, Draft, Archived) or Vendor if you manage multiple brands.
Select the product or products you want to set up in Cuttable.
Click Make Ad-Ready to bring the selected products into Cuttable to set up.
⚡️ Processing time: 5–10 minutes (or longer) depending on how many products you’ve selected. During this time, products are analyzed and added to your Ad-Ready library.
Richer product data flows into your ads
Making a product Ad-Ready now pulls richer data from Shopify into Cuttable, and Cuttable's AI uses that data when generating ads. Custom fields you have set up in Shopify, called metafields (for example, flavor notes, care instructions, or sizing details), flow into Cuttable as extra context for ad generation. A product's vendor and SEO (search engine optimization) fields also carry through, so Cuttable's AI can reference them when generating ad copy and creative.
This richer data flows in the next time a product is imported or made Ad-Ready, either during your store's daily automatic sync or after you select Check for updates in Shopify Settings. If a product was already made Ad-Ready before this update, remove it from Ad-Ready first so its next import can pick up the new metafield, vendor, and SEO data (see Important below).
Managing Imported Products
To edit or remove a product, click the three dots (⋯) on its card.
Removing a product from your Imported list will return it to Not Imported.
You can always re-import or make it Ad-Ready again later.
Syncing new Shopify products
If you have recently added products in Shopify and they are not showing in Cuttable, follow the steps below to sync them.
***Important
Cuttable does not automatically update products that are already marked as Ad-Ready. This is to prevent a re-sync from overwriting any changes made after a product becomes Ad-Ready. Think of Ad-Ready as a snapshot in time.
If you want updated Shopify data to flow through for an existing product, you must first remove the product from Ad-Ready. Once removed, follow the steps below and then re-import the product(s) of your choice as you usually would.
How to sync new products from Shopify
Select your initials in the bottom left corner of the Cuttable screen.
Click Settings, then open the Connectors tab.
On the Shopify card, select Manage.
Click Check for updates.
Cuttable will pull the latest product list from Shopify.
If a sync fails, Cuttable shows a warning message with an option to retry, so a failed sync never looks like an empty store.
What happens next
You will see a total count of products pulled from Shopify, for example, 295 products from Shopify.
If there are new products that have not been analyzed, you will see a link such as “18 products not Ad-Ready.”
Click this link to view the new products directly
A message will appear explaining the next step:
After syncing, any new Shopify products will appear under the From Shopify tab on the Products page, ready for you to select and make Ad-Ready.
How to Delete Products from Ad-Ready
If you've had a refresh of your products, or you want to remove products that are wrong or shouldn't be in your Ad-Ready library, you can delete them in two ways.
Option 1: Delete a single product
Open the product you want to delete in its individual view.
Click Edit.
In the top right corner, click Actions.
Select Delete product.
Option 2: Delete multiple products at once
Go to the Products page in Cuttable and make sure you're on the Ad-Ready view.
In the top right corner, next to Import, switch to the table view.
Select the checkboxes next to the products you want to delete.
Click Delete at the bottom of the screen.
