Is there a changelog where I can audit changes to my Master or Daily Routes?

Discusses the activity history of Master and Daily Sequence routes

A long-standing principle behind Hauler Hero’s platform is that any change you or your team makes is tracked. No matter what happens in our solution, you can trace what happened and when.

Changes made within Master Sequence to your Master or Daily routes are no exception!

How do I access Master Sequence’s activity logs?

While in Master Sequence, select a route in the top-left corner’s dropdown. Then, click:

  • Master Activity to view the changelog for that route’s Master Sequence

  • Daily Activity to view the changelog for a specific day’s version of that route

How do I see what specific changes were made to that route’s stops on a specific day/time?

From whichever route’s changelog you’re looking at, you can find this under “Changed Stops” after you’ve picked which day/time you’re auditing.

Note that activity is logged against the effected day of the affected stops, not the date the actual changes were made. This means, if you wanted to audit the changes made on Monday, for example, for stops on Thursday, you’d need to look at Thursday’s date in the changelog, not Monday’s.

You can also visually compare the differences with a before and after of that route.

How do I restore a past version of a route?

Click the “Rewind” icon at the top left of the changelog entry you want to revert. Hauler Hero will always revert to the “Old” or “Before” version of that route displayed in that changelog entry.

If you’re restoring a Master Sequence, after clicking the “Rewind” icon, you’ll be given the following heads up on next steps you may need to take after you’ve restored the route.

  • Of particular note: Only the sequence order will be restored. Stops added since the version you’re restoring will stay on Master, but be moved to the top. Unassigned stops will not come back.

  • You can also choose to update future daily routes to match this restored Master Sequence.

  • And you can also choose to pull back stops to the route if they’ve since been assigned to another route or unassigned.

If you’re restoring a Daily Sequence, after clicking the “Rewind” icon, you’ll be given the following heads up on next steps you may need to take after you’ve restored the route.

  • Of particular note: publishing the restored version will reorder the route. Stops added since that version will remain, but be kept at the top of the route in their current order.

  • You can also choose to pull back stops to the route if they’ve since been assigned to another route or unassigned.

After clicking “Preview Restore,” you’ll be taken to the Master Sequence Board view to review your changes. If everything looks good, click “Restore” at the top-right corner. If not, click “Discard Preview” to be cancel the restoration.
