Managing assigned or unassigned stops, especially recurring ones, is the very purpose of Master Sequence!
How does Master Sequence help me assign or unassign stops?
Master Sequence allows you to manage assigned or unassigned stops either through a Board view experience or a a Map view experience. You can assign or unassign individual or multiple stops from your Master Route or a specific day’s route.
Before we get started, Map vs. Board differences in Master Sequence
Functionally speaking, the assign and unassign processes are the same in either view. The differences between the two are generally visual:
In Board view, you see multiple days’ runs for a given route in addition to its Master.
In Map View, you’ll see a map of the stops in your selected routes. Additionally, if “Move Stops” is:
Enabled -- You’ll see (1) the Move Stops column to the left of the map and (2) the selected Route’s Master Route or a specific day’s version of the route to its right
Disabled -- You’ll just see the selected Route’s Master Route or a specific day’s version of it to the left of the map
First things first, enable “Move Stops”
To get started, we’ll first want to enable “Move Stops” via the 3-dot menu in the top right corner.
This will bring up the “origin” route’s, where you’re pulling stops from. This is in contrast to the destination route, where you’re pushing stops into, you select above it at the top-left corner of Master Sequence. In the screenshot below, we see that a list of “Unassigned” stops is the origin route while “BT 100” is the destination.
How do I assign a single stop to my route(s)?
First, select the day of week you’re working in.
Then, find the stop via the column we opened by turning on “Move Stops.” It will either be assigned to a specific route, or unassigned and thus in the “Unassigned” list of stops.
You can use the Filters button to help find the stop you’re looking for.
Once you’ve found the stop, click the Right Arrow icon to then specify how you want it to be moved.
Sequence - Specifies where in the route’s order of stops that stop needs to be positioned.
Permanent - Updates the Master Route for that route on that day of the week to run that stop, in the sequence you specified, for all future runs of that route.
Current Day - Updates only the next future run of that route to run that stop, in the sequence you specified.
Once you’re satisfied with your changes, click Update in the top right, then Publish either to your Live routes (what your drivers will actually run) and/or your Draft (if you don’t want to finalize it just yet).
How do I unassign a single stop from my route(s)?
Click the X icon on the stop you want to unassign.
If you do this to a stop in the Master column, it will unassign that stop from all future occurrences of that route.
If you do this to a stop in a specific day of the route, it will unassign that stop only from that day’s occurrence of the route.
Once you’re satisfied with your changes, click Update in the top right, then Publish either to your Live routes (what your drivers will actually run) or your Draft (if you don’t want to finalize it just yet).
How do I assign multiple stops to my routes?
Click Bulk Select in the origin column. This column has a route select dropdown and always displays as the left-most column. If it doesn’t show up, enable “Move Stops” from the top right’s 3-dot menu.
You can use the Filters button to help find the stops you’re looking for.
Check off the stops you want to move, as well as specify where in the sequence they should be positioned.

How do I unassign multiple stops from my route(s)?
First, toggle “Bulk Unassign” view the 3-dot menu in the top right.
Checking a box for a stop in the Master column unassigns that stop from all future instances of the route.
Checking a box for a stop in a dated column unassigns that stop only from that instance of the route.
Once you’re satisfied with your changes, click Update in the top right, then Publish either to your Live routes (what your drivers will actually run) or your Draft (if you don’t want to finalize it just yet).
