Review Deliverables, Request Revisions, and Approve Content

A fair, brief-based process for businesses to review creator work, give useful feedback, and complete approval.

Written by Purple Cow Support

Review creator work against the agreed campaign brief, not new ideas introduced after filming. Manage feedback and approval inside Purple Cow so the decision stays attached to the correct file.

Deliverables page with All, Pending, Revisions, Approved and Rejected filters and creator search

Demo business account: use the Deliverables filters or creator search to find the work you need. Pending shows submissions awaiting review; Revisions shows work with requested changes.

Before you review

  1. Open the campaign and select the correct creator and latest submitted version.

  2. Re-read the brief and required content, format, talking points, and posting instructions.

  3. Watch the entire file with sound. Check image quality, spelling, required scenes, claims, and private information.

  4. Check the review deadline and available actions shown for that submission.

A campaign can have several creators at different stages. Your decision should apply to the selected creator’s submission, not another creator’s file.

Approve or request a revision

If the content meets the agreed requirements, use the platform’s approval action. If a requirement is missing or incorrect, request a revision through the relevant review control and explain the issue clearly. Sending “approved” in a message does not replace the approval action.

Make revision feedback specific

  • Refer to the relevant brief requirement.

  • Name the exact scene or timestamp and the change needed.

  • Combine your points into one clear list to avoid conflicting instructions.

  • Use the revision options and limits displayed in the campaign.

Example: “At 0:12, replace the on-screen claim with the approved wording in the brief.” A new concept, extra deliverable, different location, additional platform, or new posting requirement may change the scope. Clarify those requests before asking the creator to re-film.

Review the revised version

Open the newest submission, compare it with the feedback, and watch the full file again. Approve when it meets the agreed requirements. If an issue remains, identify the unmet requirement instead of repeating a vague rejection.

Campaigns that include posting

For influencer-posting work, approval of the video may lead to a separate posting-proof stage. Review the required links or proof for each platform and complete that stage too. Do not treat video approval as final completion when the workspace is still awaiting proof.

Completion, downloads, and reviews

Follow the final status shown for that creator’s work. Once final approval is complete, use the available download and review actions. Each creator can finish independently of others in the same campaign. Rating the collaboration is an optional follow-up, not a requirement that keeps approved work incomplete.

Before using or publishing content, check the agreed campaign usage requirements and applicable terms. Approval does not justify unagreed usage.

If you disagree or a control is blocked

Keep the brief, version history, and feedback in Purple Cow. Contact support with the campaign name, creator, affected step, and the exact issue. Do not ask for passwords, private identity documents, or off-platform delivery.
