A quick note on terminology first. In an address like abc@domain.com shown as "abc xyz":
abc@ = the alias (the local part of the email address)
domain.com = the domain
abc xyz = the sender's first and last name (the display name)
Changing the first/last name (display name)
Google Workspace mailboxes: you can change this yourself — select the mailbox in your dashboard, click Edit (top right), and edit the name.
SMTP mailboxes: contact our support team. We can update this from our side without creating a new mailbox or starting a new warmup cycle. Once it's done, you can download and re-upload the updated CSV to your sequencer if needed — see How can I access mailbox credentials in Maildoso?
If recipients see only your email address and no name, the display name probably isn't set yet. The sender name configured in your sequencer can override what recipients see, so check it there too. More detail: Profile picture and sender display name.
Changing the alias (the part before @)
An alias can't be edited in place for any mailbox type. A different address always means a new mailbox with no warmup or reputation history — plan on 10–14 days of warmup before real outreach. Back up anything you need from the old mailbox first.
SMTP mailboxes
Delete the old mailbox (Email Accounts → select it → Bulk Actions → Delete selected accounts).
Create the new address in the freed slot with Add More Email Accounts.
Google Workspace mailboxes — renaming isn't possible
A Google Workspace address can't be renamed, either in the dashboard or by our support team. Deleting a Google Workspace mailbox doesn't free its slot right away: the mailbox stays active until the end of the Google Workspace billing period, and the same address can't be recreated until then. So:
If you have an unused Google Workspace slot, create the new address in it now, then delete the old mailbox.
If you don't, delete the old mailbox and create the new address after its removal date.
Don't use the domain's Admin mailbox for this — deleting it deletes every Google Workspace mailbox on that domain.
