When you sign in to a Google Workspace mailbox, Google may ask for a verification code in addition to your password. You don't need your own authenticator app for this — everything you need is in your dashboard.
Google Workspace mailboxes are configured differently from standard SMTP mailboxes, with authentication handled directly through Google. This ensures a secure and streamlined process for managing your mailboxes.
Finding your login details
In your dashboard, open Accounts and click the mailbox you want to sign in to.
The sidebar shows that mailbox's username, password, and a one-time code (OTP).
Use the username and password to sign in to Google.
When Google asks for a verification / Authenticator code
If Google prompts you for an authenticator or verification code during sign-in, use the one-time code shown next to that mailbox in your dashboard.
Each code is tied to its specific mailbox, so make sure you're reading the code for the mailbox you're signing in to.
Why IMAP host and port may be blank
For Google Workspace mailboxes, the connection settings are managed directly by Google rather than by us, so the IMAP host and port fields may appear blank in your dashboard. That's expected and isn't a problem. When you connect these mailboxes to a sequencer or outreach tool, use the Google sign-in (OAuth) option rather than manual SMTP/IMAP details.
Additionally, you won't receive standalone credentials for these mailboxes, as authentication is managed directly through Google's secure protocols.
Plan-Specific Limitations
While Maildoso supports Google Workspace mailboxes, your ability to create them depends on your subscription plan. For example, if you are on a trial plan, the Google Workspace allotment may be set to zero. Even if your domain is marked as compatible with Google, you won’t be able to create Google Workspace mailboxes unless your plan includes a Google bundle.
