Questions about whether Google Workspace mailboxes are available, why a mailbox is stuck "Pending," or why the Google option shows 0/greyed out are usually one of the situations below.
Is Google Workspace still available?
Yes — Maildoso still offers Google Workspace mailboxes alongside standard SMTP mailboxes, and if your plan already includes Google Workspace mailboxes you can create and use them normally. What's currently paused is buying additional Google Workspace allotment beyond what your plan includes as a self-serve purchase — see the next section.
Why the Google option might show 0 available or greyed out
If Google shows greyed out or 0 available on the mailbox-creation screen, it's usually one of these — not a bug or a network issue:
New Google Workspace allotment isn't currently available as a self-serve purchase, so a plan with no existing GWS quota has nothing to draw from.
Your current plan is SMTP-only and never included Google Workspace quota.
You just checked out and the quota hasn't applied yet — wait a few minutes and refresh.
The specific domain you're trying to use isn't Google-eligible — see Why are some of my domains not eligible for Google Workspace?
If you signed up or added an add-on expecting to get Google Workspace mailboxes and it turns out that allotment isn't currently purchasable, contact support with your account details — we can confirm what your plan actually includes and help sort out billing if you were charged for something you can't use.
What does "Pending" mean for a Google Workspace mailbox?
Google Workspace mailboxes are provisioned through a third-party vendor, which can take longer than standard SMTP mailboxes — typically a few hours. A "Pending" status means the request has been submitted and is still being created.
If a mailbox stays Pending for more than 24–48 hours, or shows "Failed" while its domain is Active, contact us with the mailbox email and domain — this is a known class of issue we actively monitor and can usually push through manually rather than you needing to recreate it.
Switching between Google Workspace and SMTP
You can switch a mailbox's type between Google Workspace and standard SMTP from your dashboard — see Can I switch a mailbox/domain between Google Workspace and SMTP?. Not all domains are eligible for Google Workspace — see our related article on domain eligibility if you don't see the option for a specific domain.
Logging into a Google Workspace mailbox
Once a Google Workspace mailbox shows Active, you can log in directly with the Google credentials shown in your dashboard, the same as any other Google Workspace account.
Still stuck?
If your Google Workspace mailbox has been Pending or Failed for longer than expected, or you're not sure whether you have unused Google Workspace slots on your account, contact support with the mailbox email, domain, and roughly when you created it.
