First off, if you're reading this, I assume a welcome is in order! Welcome to MV, and a new way of communicating with your audience, both subscribers and clients.

Our goal is to help you reclaim your time by putting energy in the right places, for the best results.

SO! Here are the steps to take you from brand new blank slate MV account to "oooh, I can't wait to share this!!!" *click click* SHARED. πŸ™Œ

ROADMAP OVERVIEW

Step 1: Make your account pretty. I'll show some inspiration accounts to get you thinking!

Step 2: Connect your email tool (i.e. Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, etc) so we can talk to them. This is supremely easy.

Step 3: Add your existing product(s), or use one of our templates to create a new one. This will form the starting point of your binge & buy marketplace.

Step 4: Use our email swipes and guideline to share your new MV account with your email subscribers.

Step 5: Make your account part of your ongoing conversations on social, to your email list (use these "6 emails to send" templates!) and wherever you show up online, so you can grow your email list using MV, and get more exposure for your paid offers.

Step 1: Make your account pretty.

There are quite a few ways to do this, and you get to choose how involved you want to go. Remember, it's an evolving journey and simply adding your brand colors, logo and using product images that fit your brand will make your account look like YOU.

Step 2: Connect your email tool so we can talk to them.

This is SUPER quick, and easy but equally important so that MV can "talk" to your email tool and let them know when someone signs up for a freebie, buys a product or engages with your content in some way.

All you have to do is log into your email tool, grab your API info and then log into your MV (pro tip: have it open in a different browser window) and go to Integrations > Email Service Connection > Choose Company > Paste the API info > Click Save.

All done!

Here's how to snag your email API key info for our most popular email integration partners.

Is your tool not listed? Simply google "find API key" and the name of your email tool. Easy peasy.

Step 3: Add your existing product(s), or use one of our templates to create a new one.

MemberVault is incredibly flexible and can handle all kinds of offers from free challenges and summits, to wow-worthy onboarding for your 1:1 and prevalidation for paid offers you're considering.

But that flexibility can often create a liiiiittle bit of overwhelm. So let's put on the "imperfect action" hat, and look at your choices!

If you are currently selling a paid offer (i.e. your 1:1, a course, membership, etc), and want to move it to MemberVault...we recommend putting that in FIRST.

If you're currently focusing on growing your list and/or are launching a paid offer using a challenge/summit/workshop/etc in the next 30-60 days...we recommend putting that freebie in FIRST.

And lastly, if you want to get up and running without committing to putting any of your existing offers in, we recommend using our "Start a Conversation" template. It's the perfect way to poll your email list, and get a taste of using MV.

Step 4: How to share your new MV account with your subscribers.

You know what they say about bears and the woods, right?

It's the same thing with your new MV account.

If you spend the time to make it pretty, add those products and then you don't share it with anyone? Errr...kinda not worth it!

Ways to share MV with your email list.

If you aren't sure about MV yet, and don't want to commit to keeping it...use our Start a Conversation template and engage your email list that way.

If you are sure you want to use MV, and are starting with a paid product that you are currently selling...then give your existing clients access to the product, and email your list about the offer.

If you are sure you want to use MV, and are starting with a free product...then give ALL of your email subscribers access, and email your list about it.

Step 5: Make your account part of your ongoing conversations.

This is a big one, because it's where the binge & buy method really shines.

You need people to not only see what you have to offer (via the binge & buy marketplace, aka all of your products that are set to be active inside your account rather than inactive or invisible), but for them to also engage with it (via gamification and using quiz questions to really know what your people want).

And then your goal is to (a) stay front of mind via emails and/or social media and (b) make it easy for them to engage with your marketplace again.

Here are 6 tips on how to accomplish the above easily:

  1. If you have a Wordpress site, you can use the free Pretty Link plugin to create an easy to remember URL for your main marketplace link. Add that to the footer of your work email, and the campaigns you send to your list. Share it on social media too.

  2. If you don't have a website, or you don't use Wordpress, you can always use a link shortener like bit.ly. Then share it in the same places. Also check out how to use MV's link redirect feature here.

  3. Link to specific products, modules or lessons in your emails to make it simple for people to engage. Pro tip: use the one click link for people on your list that already have access to that product, and it'll take them right there...no log in needed.

  4. Link to teaser modules (an optional type of module that doesn't require someone to have an account to be able to see the content), the teaser content or the main marketplace link when sharing publicly.

  5. Gamify your content -- where anyone that completes the X product will also get access to product Y (here's how to easily set that up).

  6. Repurpose live content to make it easier to consume (i.e. a few FB lives that you did around a specific outcome or goal), and put it inside of MV as an invisible product that you then share for a limited time.

Congrats! You've made it to the end of the roadmap. πŸ™Œ If you have any questions at all, be sure to post in the Collaborative user group.
