Follow this step-by-step guide to send AED to a recipient in the UAE:
Step 1: Click on Send
Open your nsave app
Tap the "Send" button on your home screen
This will take you to the Recipients screen
Step 2: Add a New Recipient
Tap the β icon at the top right corner
Step 3: Select Country and Currency
Choose United Arab Emirates as the recipient country
Select AED as the currency
Now enter the recipient details:
First Name
Last Name
Make sure you are sending the transfer to an individual account.
At the moment, transfers to company or business accounts aren't supported, the contact can only be created if the recipient is an individual (person-to-person transfer).
Tap Continue
Step 4: Choose Recipient Account
Select the desired payout method:
Bank Account
You will need to add the recipient's IBAN (UAE IBANs start with AE and are 23 characters long)
Cash pick-up
You will need to add the recipient's phone number
The recipient will collect the cash at a partner cash pick-up location in the UAE using a reference code we send them
Step 5: Enter Amount & Review
Enter the amount in USD you wish to send
The app will show the converted AED amount, the fee, and the current exchange rate
Add a reference (optional), then tap Preview
Step 6: Share Transfer Purpose
Choose the purpose of your transfer from the dropdown
Write a short description of why you're sending the money
Tap Continue
β Done! Your withdrawal is now being processed.
Bank payouts usually arrive within 1-3 business days. In rare cases, it may take a little longer depending on the receiving bank.
Cash pick-up β the recipient will be notified once the funds are available to collect.
Frequently asked questions
Why is GBP or EUR to AED not supported directly?
Payouts to AED must be made from a USD balance. If your funds are in GBP or EUR, you can convert them to USD in the app first β currency exchange is available 24/7 with no minimum.
Can I send to a company or business account in the UAE?
No. Only person-to-person transfers to individual accounts are supported at the moment.
What does the recipient need to collect a cash pick-up?
A valid ID and the reference code we send to the recipient's phone number. They can collect the funds at any partner cash pick-up location in the UAE.
