Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between Instapay and a bank (SWIFT) transfer?
Instapay is Egypt's instant payment network β funds typically land within minutes, 24/7. SWIFT bank transfers take 1-3 business days but use traditional bank-to-bank rails. Pick Instapay when speed matters and your recipient has an Instapay-enabled account or wallet.
What is an Instapay Payment Address (IPA)?
An IPA is a simple identifier your recipient sets up with their bank or wallet, usually in the format name@bank (for example, ahmed@cib). It lets you send funds without sharing a full account number.
What if my recipient doesn't have Instapay?
Use the Bank Account (SWIFT) option instead β all you'll need is their account number and the bank's SWIFT code.
