Summary
Contact fields come in two types: system fields (created automatically for every funnel) and funnel fields (created by interactive blocks like Quiz, Form, or Multi-Choice).
If a field is missing from a contact's profile, or shows the wrong answer, it's usually hidden in your Property Visibility settings rather than actually missing.
You can turn any field on or off yourself from a contact's profile card.
đĄ If a field isn't showing up or shows the wrong value, open a contact's profile, click the â˘â˘â˘ menu, and select Property Visibility to turn on the correct field.
When you click on one of your collected leads in the Contacts area, you will see a contact card on the right with all the information about your lead. There you will find different types of fields:
System fields
A group of system fields are automatically created for every new funnel:
Person: First + Last Name
Created at: Date and time the contact converted
Status: Label signifying a contact's step in the nurturing process (initially set to whichever status option is marked 'Default')
Funnel fields
Every "Interaction"-type funnel block that you use to collect visitor data gets its own automatically created and tracked field.
This includes information gathered through any of these block types:

Why are my fields not showing in the Contacts?
Turn on the correct field in Property Visibility to fix this. This setting controls which fields appear on a contact's profile card, and it's the most common reason a field looks "missing" even though the data exists in your Contacts.
This usually happens in one of these situations:
The same question was added to a funnel twice: for example once at the top of a page and once at the bottom - which creates two separate Contact fields for what looks like one question.
A block or a page was duplicated
A field was originally created by a funnel block that has since been removed or changed, but the old field with the same question text still exists in the Contact area alongside the new one.
In both cases, your contact profile only shows one of the two identical-looking fields by default, and it isn't always the one holding the answer.
âšď¸ Hiding or showing a field in Property Visibility never deletes any data. It only changes what's visible on the profile card - the underlying answer stays saved in your Contacts either way.
Here's how to find and show the correct field:
Open your funnel and go to Contacts.
Click on any contact to open their profile card.
Click the â˘â˘â˘ menu at the top right and select Property Visibility.
Toggle on the field(s) that look like duplicates of the one you're missing, one at a time.
Check the contact profile after each toggle to see which field actually displays the answer.
Frequently asked questions
Why do I have two fields for what looks like the same question?
Why do I have two fields for what looks like the same question?
This happens when a question was added to your funnel twice, or when a funnel block was replaced or removed after the funnel had already collected leads. Perspective keeps both fields in the Contacts so no historical data is lost, but only one of them keeps receiving new answers.
How do I know which duplicate field has my data?
How do I know which duplicate field has my data?
Go to Property Visibility on a contact's profile and toggle on each duplicate field one at a time. Check the profile after every toggle and the field that displays an answer is the active one.
Does turning a field off in Property Visibility delete the data?
Does turning a field off in Property Visibility delete the data?
No, turning a field off only hides it from the contact profile view. The data stays stored in your Contacts and reappears as soon as you turn the field back on.
Is Property Visibility the same for every contact?
Is Property Visibility the same for every contact?
Yes, Property Visibility is set at the Contacts level for the whole funnel, so the fields you show or hide apply across all contacts in that funnel, not just one.
