A roll-up competition will allow players to enter the competition on the day of play. When running a roll-up competition, there is no advanced sign-up, nor any selection of tee times. With this particular competition, there is no need to create anything on BRS, as this setup can be done completely in Golf Genius.

In this article, we will discuss setting up and managing your competition in Golf Genius TM. For a quick video on creating a Roll-up Tournament, Click Here.

Golf Genius Event Setup:

To get your roll-up competition ready for scoring in Golf Genius, you will need to do the following:

Set Pairing Size to "No Tee Sheet":

Since a roll-up tournament does not use advanced pairings, it is important that you set your pairing size to "No Tee Sheet." To set the pairing size, follow these directions:

  1. Go to Event > Event Profile > Rounds & Scheduling. Note: If there are multiple rounds within your event, and you are only running a Roll-up for a specific round, alternatively go to Rounds > Round Profile > Signups & Scheduling.

  2. In the section Pairing Size, use the drop down to specify the number of players per pairing group. Select "No Tee Sheet" for this setup (as shown below).

  3. When the "No tee Sheet" option has been selected, you will now have the option to select your default course and default tee by gender (as shown below). Further, if using the mobile app, you can allow players to choose their course and tee.

  4. Click "Save.
