Using the Reminders Dashboard

The Reminders Dashboard in Updox gives your practice a simple way to view and manage patient responses to appointment reminders. Even if you review confirmations in your connected EHR, the dashboard provides additional tools to reduce no-shows and improve patient follow-up.

Accessing the Dashboard

  1. In Updox, click Reminders.

  2. Select a time range of appointments to review.

  3. The Response column shows patient responses:

    • โœ… Green check mark = confirmed appointment

    • โŒ Red X = cancelled appointment

Filtering Patient Responses

  • Click Response to filter patients who have not yet replied.

  • This creates a focused list of patients who may need additional outreach, such as:

    • Sending another Updox Text

    • Making a phone call

Managing Appointments

  • If a patient contacts your practice directly (e.g., phone or email), staff can confirm or cancel the appointment from the dashboard.

  • Invalid reminder delivery details (such as an incorrect phone number or email) are flagged in the dashboard so your team can update patient records.

Viewing Reminder Performance

  • For a high-level summary of reminder effectiveness, click Dashboard View in the upper-right corner.

  • Switch to Reminder Summary to see overall reminder performance and trends.

Benefits of the Reminders Dashboard

  • Quickly see which patients have confirmed, cancelled, or not replied.

  • Follow up with patients who donโ€™t respond.

  • Manage appointment status without switching to your EHR.

  • Track reminder performance over time to improve scheduling.
