Feature Overview
Below is a list of all features available in Link. Additional details on each feature are listed in the following sections of this guide.
Note: Certain features are only available based on your user role.
New Product: Create a new item from scratch that is not tied to a manifest
Reshelf: Putaway and reshelf items individually or in bulk
Purge: Get rid of products that aren’t selling
Pick Orders: Use filters or a pick list to find items to ship
Pick Up Manifests: Scan or search manifests to mark them as “In Transit”
Receive Manifests: Scan or search manifests to mark them as “Received”
Search: Find details about any product in your warehouse
Settings: Configure barcode scanning, photo compression, and photo backup
Manage Device: Edit camera access and other settings
Account Information: View your account details, Link version info, or log out
New Product
The new product button is visible to all users whose role has access to create, edit, and post products to channels. This feature creates a new product that is not tied to a Manifest. If your team manifests every item and uses draft products, avoid using this feature. Instead, search for draft products using the search tool for editing and photography.
💡Operational Tip: If your organization uses manifests for all items, it is essential to train users not to use this button when processing and photographing items.
If your team isn’t using manifests, click here to learn how to create a New Product.
Reshelf
Easily store and move products between locations in your inventory with the Reself tool. Scan as many product barcodes as you like, and these products will instantly be reshelved when you scan the new inventory location.
Reshelf is our recommended method for inventory putaway as it provides the most flexibility for your operation and doesn’t require bringing a laptop computer or tablet into inventory to assign locations to products
Expedite inventory management even further by using a Bluetooth Ring scanner with Link to read barcodes more quickly than the camera in Link
Purge
If an item reaches the end of a Listing Strategy and doesn't sell, or the associated product is manually recycled, use the Purge tool to locate and remove it from your inventory.
Purging in Link requires the barcode on the product to be scanned before it is removed from inventory, eliminating human error in removing the wrong items from inventory.
Outdated, unsold, and recycled products are identified, tracked, and removed from inventory using Link (our recommendation) or via Lister
Pick Orders
After a product has been paid for, our Digital Picking feature ensures you always grab the correct item off your shelf by incorporating barcode scanning.
Set up Picking Profiles in Lister to match your operational processes around order fulfillment
Pickers are assigned products in Link and will be guided through inventory in the most efficient way through your inventory layout
Assign up to 150 products to a picker per batch, and no pickers will be given the same product to pull off the shelves
When a product isn't found by pickers, it is marked as “Not Found” for investigation by management or loss prevention
Pick Up Manifests
The Pick Up Manifests tool is part of the Manifest Tracking feature in Lister and Link and is specifically designed for transportation teammates to mark manifests “In Transit” or “Missing” during the transfer of products from stores to the e-commerce for processing.
Using this tool adds greater visibility on the transfer of items from stores to e-commerce

Search and Scan Barcodes
The “Scan” icon at the top right corner of the dashboard opens the camera app to scan a barcode to pull up information about a product. You can also use the search tool to pull up information about any product by manually typing the SKU or product title.
Photographers most commonly use both the Search and Scan functions to pull up a draft product and take pictures. Click here to learn how to take photos in Link
💡Operational Tip: If you have a Bluetooth ring scanner connected to Link, scan a barcode directly from the main dashboard to pull up product details without having to open the search tools!
Settings
The settings menu allows you to control a Bluetooth ring scanner that helps speed up the scanning process and offers additional tools to assist with photography if you have poor internet connectivity.
Scanner Setup
These options control how you scan barcodes and the type of barcodes you use.
Scanner Mode:
Choose between one of the following options and test if scanners are working
Bluetooth Scanner (Recommended)
Upright Labs recommends using a Bluetooth ring scanner for faster barcode scanning instead of using the device’s built-in camera or a KOMTAC scanner
Camera (Default)
Scans barcodes using the built-in camera of the iOS device
Barcode Type:
1D Only (default): Link will only read standard barcode labels.
1D and 2D: Allows the barcode scanner to read standard barcodes and QR codes. Note: When using 2D barcodes, scanner performance may be slower, and some Bluetooth scanners are not compatible.
Tap to Test:
If using the device’s camera to scan barcodes, this option will open the camera to test if your barcodes are readable by Link.
Photo Compression
Note: We only recommend enabling this setting if you have very slow internet speeds and are struggling to upload pictures at the default resolution.
If your internet speed is poor, you may encounter slow loading speeds or errors with photos failing to load and save after taking pictures. Activating Photo Compression will lower the quality of your pictures but may help speed up the time it takes to save a product after taking pictures.
How to Activate/Deactivate Photo Compression
Scroll down on the homepage of Link and tap “Settings”
Tap “Photo Compression”
Tap the desired setting
Tap the X icon in the top left corner
Photo Backup
How to Activate Photo Backup
The Photo Backup feature saves copies of product photos to your device so you can manually upload images to your product if the internet connection becomes unstable.
Note: Activating Photo Backup will create copies of each photo taken in Link to your local device. We recommend periodically deleting older photos from your device to ensure its storage doesn't reach capacity.
Scroll to the bottom of the dashboard in Link and tap "Settings"
Tap "Photo Backup"
Tap "Save Photos to Device"
Tap the X icon to close the photo backup menu
How to Use Photo Backup
If you encounter issues with a dropped internet connection and our standard troubleshooting methods do not resolve the issue, follow the steps below to find and upload your photo backups:
Tap the "Cancel" button if the photo upload has stalled
Tap "Discard Changes" in the popup box
Re-open the product
Tap the pencil icon to open the product editor
Tap "Add from my Photo Library"
Select your backup photos and tap "Done"
Tap "Save"
Manage Device
These settings allow access to the device camera for taking pictures of products and scanning labels, Bluetooth access to connect ring scanners, along with other settings
Bluetooth access is required for ring scanners to scan barcodes or use remote camera shutters
Camera access is required to take pictures of products and scan barcodes
