Montage creation, AI Montage, montage duration, selected clip limits, and export settings can depend on your plan.
Use Montage when you want to combine several clips into one longer highlight video.
Montage is useful after you get multiple clips from a long video â whether through Find Moments, Game Clip, or AI Clip. You can then combine selected clips into one video for recaps, product highlights, event summaries, livestream best moments, gameplay reels, or campaign edits.
When to use Montage
Use Montage when several separate clips work better together than alone.
For example, you can create a montage from:
Several moments found across different topics
The best product demo clips from a long video
Multiple audience reactions or testimonials
A set of gameplay highlights
Different scenes that tell one story
Event clips from several parts of a livestream or recording
If you only need to publish each clip separately, use Bulk Publish instead.
Select clips across topics
Your clips may be grouped by topics.
You can select clips from more than one topic before creating a montage.
Open the Find Moments results page.
Review the topic tabs.
Select the clips you want from one topic.
Open another topic and select more clips.
Check the selected clip count at the top.
Click Create Montage when your selection is ready.
This lets you build one montage from several different themes instead of creating a separate video for each topic.
Choose AI Montage or Manual Montage
When the Create Montage window opens, choose how you want the montage to be built.
Mode | Best for |
AI Montage | Let WayinVideo pick and arrange moments from your selected clips |
Manual Montage | Combine the selected clips in the order you choose |
Both modes start from the clips you selected.
Create an AI Montage
Use AI Montage when you want WayinVideo to help choose the strongest parts and arrange them into a ready-to-share montage.
Select the clips you want to include.
Click Create Montage.
Choose AI Montage.
Optionally enter a Montage Focus.
Review the selected clips.
Click Create Montage.
Montage Focus is optional. Use it when you want the montage to focus on a specific story, theme, product benefit, reaction, or highlight type.
Create a Manual Montage
Use Manual Montage when you want to control the clip order yourself.
Select the clips you want to include.
Click Create Montage.
Choose Manual Montage.
Review the selected clips and their order.
Turn Keep Clip Edits on or off.
Click Create Montage.
Manual Montage is best when the sequence matters, such as a step-by-step demo, a before-and-after story, a Q&A sequence, or an event recap that should follow a specific order.
Use Keep Clip Edits
Keep Clip Edits controls whether the montage keeps edits already applied to the selected clips.
Setting | What it does |
On | Keeps existing edits such as subtitles, hooks, B-roll, layouts, and custom settings |
Off | Uses the original selected clips without those edits |
Turn it on when you already polished the clips and want the montage to preserve those edits.
Turn it off when you want a cleaner starting point or plan to edit the montage separately.
Review the montage
After the montage is created, review it before exporting or publishing.
Check:
The clip order makes sense
The pacing feels natural
The topic or story is clear
Subtitles, hooks, B-roll, and layouts are still correct
Important visuals are not cropped or covered
The final duration fits your intended platform
If needed, open the montage in Video Editor and polish it before exporting or publishing.
