How to Edit an Existing Experience

Make updates to your existing experience—like pricing, schedule, or trip details—so everything stays accurate and up to date.

As your trips evolve, you may need to adjust pricing, availability, or trip details. Brindlechute makes it easy to update an existing experience at any time, so your bookings always reflect your latest setup.

How to Edit an Experience:

Go to the Experiences Section

From your dashboard, go to Products → Experiences.

Select the Experience You Want to Edit

Find the experience you want to update and click on it.

Click Edit

Click the Edit button on the far right of the experience (pencil icon) or simply click on the experience.

The page opens on Step 1: Experience basic. Once you have made your changes, Save & Next takes you to Step 2: Checklist template.

Update Experience Setup

Experience setup is the first section on the page. Here you can change:

  1. Who is running the experience? – switch between Outfitter-run experience (trips are assigned to your guides) and Partner-linked experience (tied to a specific partner, with trips created as “Partner type”)

  2. Number of clients per guide – adjust using the − and + stepper. This ratio sets how many guides a booking needs: how many clients one guide can take before the booking requires a second trip unit and a second guide.

Changing the clients per guide ratio applies to new bookings only. Bookings that already exist keep the ratio they were created with, and the ratio cannot be changed on an individual booking or trip. To carry a larger party under one guide on an existing booking, see How to Add a Client Without Adding Another Guide.

Update Experience Info

In Experience Info, you can update:

  1. Experience name

  2. Trip type – Float, Wade, Hunt, or Ice Fishing

  3. Description

  4. Color – appears below Description only if Color Coding is turned on for your organization. See Use Experience Colors for Faster Calendar Scheduling

  5. Image & Video – add or replace images (PNG or JPG, max 20MB) and insert a video link

  6. Attachments in client portal – add or update documents (PNG, JPG, or PDF, max 20MB)

Update Online Availability

Turn on the Override toggle to control availability for this experience instead of using your system-wide settings. You can then adjust:

  1. Availability settings – which guides this experience draws from, plus any additional slots

  2. Allow instant online booking – update the cutoff time in days before the start date

  3. Set off-season range – change which date ranges are open for instant booking, request to book, or fully blocked

Update Time Configuration

Modify how the trip is scheduled:

  1. Change the Duration mode between All day block and Scheduled times

  2. Update start times if applicable

Edit Meetup Details

Update:

  1. Default meetup time

  2. Default meetup location

  3. Allow guide to edit meetup details – turn on or off depending on how much flexibility guides should have

Adjust Itinerary Settings

Change how trip duration works:

  1. Switch between Flexible days or Fixed days

Update Pricing Settings

Adjust how you charge:

  1. Turn Time-aware settings on or off to control whether pricing varies by date range

  2. Change pricing model (per person, flat group price, price differs by group size, or quoted by outfitter)

  3. Update pricing amounts

  4. Edit Gross revenue amount per unit if needed

Update Trip Details

Keep your trip info clear and accurate:

  1. What is included

  2. What is not included

  3. What to bring

Set Pre-confirmation Questionnaires

In the Pre-confirmation questionnaires section, select the questionnaires booking clients are required to answer before they can pay:

  1. Trip questions – questionnaires about the trip itself

  2. Waivers – questionnaires with health disclosures or liability acknowledgments

Manage Documents and Questionnaires

In the Documents section, add, remove, or update:

  1. Required documents and optional documents for clients

  2. Required waivers and optional waivers for clients

  3. Required questionnaires and optional questionnaires for clients

If you use age groups, the View pre-trip tasks by age group panel below these selectors shows which items are required or optional for adults and for each of your minor age groups. See How to Allow Minors as Trip Participants.

Review or Update Checklist (Optional)

Click Save & Next at the top of the page to move to Step 2: Checklist template and review or update your checklist:

  1. Add or edit tasks

  2. Adjust timing for reminders
