Manage an Electra charging card

🔎 How do I know if my card is activated in the app?

Your charging card can have different statuses visible in the Electra app.

  • Activated card: The card appears in your payment methods. You can use it immediately to start a charging session.

  • Ordered / not yet activated card: The card is visible in the app but shows a status of "being prepared". It cannot yet be used for charging.

💡 If your card has been ordered but not yet activated, follow the activation steps indicated in the letter included with your card.


🔁 How do I change the payment method linked to a charging card?

You can change the payment method linked to your card directly from the Electra app.

Steps:

  1. Open the Electra app

  2. Go to the "Payment" section

  3. Select the relevant card

  4. Tap "Change payment method"

  5. Choose an existing payment method or add a new one

⚠️ Important: if you add a new bank card from the "Payment Methods" menu, it will not be automatically linked to your charging card. You will need to manually associate this new payment method with your card from the "My Cards" section.


🪪 Can I have multiple cards on my account?

You can link up to 2 charging cards to your Electra account.

Each card can be linked to:

  • the same payment method, or

  • two separate payment methods, according to your preferences.


❌ How do I deactivate my Electra charging card?

You can deactivate your charging card directly from the Electra app:

  1. Open the Electra app

  2. Go to the "Payment" section

  3. Select the card to deactivate

  4. Tap "Lock the card" and confirm

⚠️ What should you do with your card once it has been deactivated?

A deactivated card can no longer be used to start a charging session. We recommend cutting it in two before throwing it away to prevent any unwanted use, and disposing of it in a plastic card recycling bin if one is available near you.
