VoIP: Generate Transcription and Call Summary

Discover GorillaDesk's new VoIP call transcription feature, designed to convert your conversations into text with a call summary. This feature allows you to seamlessly transform your calls into transcriptions while providing a comprehensive overview of each conversation.

Note: This feature is available only to VoIP Pro and VoIP Growth users.

Generating a transcription costs $0.15 cents per minute and will be deducted from your call credit.

First, you need to enable the 'Generate Transcription' button at the VoIP user level to activate this option.

1. Navigate to Addons > VoIP by GorillaDesk > Active VoIP Users and click the 'Manage' button

2. In the Generate Transcript column, click the toggle for the user you wish to grant permission to generate call transcriptions.

3. Once enabled, the 'Generate Transcription' button will be available in the call log within customer notes and in the Inbox > Calls tab. This feature applies to both call recordings and voicemails.

4. Click the Generate Transcription button. Please note that this action incurs a charge of $0.15/ minute and will be deducted from your VoIP credits.

5. Each transcription process can take up to a maximum of 5 minutes. You may need to reload the page after this time. Once the summary and transcription are generated, you will see the Summary and Transcription tabs.

6. Click on the Transcription tab to view the generated text of the voice call. Words will be highlighted as the recording plays.

7. You can also view an AI-generated call summary.

8. Users have the ability to search for specific words within the transcription.

9. You can click on the Transcription/Summary button to copy the text.

Note: Calls that are not recorded cannot generate a transcription or call summary.
