When setting up your Humaans profile and onboarding your team members we recommend following the below steps for the smoothest process:
1) Configure time away policies
All employees will be assigned to a time away policy and locations will need default policies to follow. Configuring your time away types, approvals and policies first is recommended.
2) Set up your company locations
With policies set it's possible to configure fixed office locations and assign default time away policies. Note: for remote employees their location and policies will be set when importing.
3) Adding custom fields
If there are additional data points you are tracking and need to upload across Humaans profile sections you can create these fields ahead of import.
4) Importing data
With Time away, Office locations and additional custom fields set up you can now start importing your user data.
Optional: Upload Equipment
Optional: Upload Job role history
Optional: Upload Compensation history
5) Adding Documents
Humaans supports both company wide documents (visible to all employees) and Employee documents (visible on individual employee profiles). Document permissions can be configured for user visibility.
6) Configure Permissions
With user data in the system you can now configure the access to view and edit this data for different users in the system. You can make these changes in Settings > Permissions
7) Build workflows
Now your people are in the system it is the ideal time to build out workflows. You can start with one of our templates or a blank template to set up tasks and actions that match your already existing process.
8) Adjusting time off balances
After importing your People and adding their time away policies Humaans will calculate their available time off balances. If a full history of time away bookings is not or cannot be imported these calculations may not match your own tracking of balances. You can export these numbers and adjust the balances for all employees before inviting in.
9) Integrations
With your data imported you can start configuring integrations with our many partners in the system. You can find detailed guides for our native integrations below and there is more info for each of our providers steps in the Integrations page in Humaans.
10) Invite the team
Once you have configured your settings, imported data and set up permissions it's time to invite the team. Making sure they are aware of Humaans features and launch is key so we have some examples of materials to share with the team before inviting.
