Changing how you sign in: Google sign-in vs. password login

How the two ways of signing in to Maildoso work, and how to switch between Google sign-in and a password-based login.

You can sign in to your Maildoso account in two ways: with a Google account ("Sign in with Google"), or with an email address and password. This article explains the difference and how to switch from one to the other.

The two ways to sign in

  • Google sign-in: you log in through your Google account, with no separate Maildoso password to remember.

  • Password login: you log in with your account email address and a password you set.

Both methods give you access to the same account — only the way you log in changes.

Switching from Google sign-in to a password

  • If your account was created with Google sign-in and you would now like to log in with a password, you can set one using the password reset option on the login screen for your account email.

  • Once a password is set, you can sign in with your email and password going forward.

Switching from a password to Google sign-in

  • To use Google sign-in instead, make sure the Google account you want to use matches the email address on your Maildoso account, then choose "Sign in with Google" on the login screen.

If you also need to change your account email

Switching your sign-in method is different from changing the email address tied to your account. If you need to move your account to a new email address, see our article on changing your account login email.
