How Each Parameter Is Structured

Each Configuration parameter is explained using the same four-part format to ensure consistency and clarity:

  • Formal definition: The technical meaning of the parameter.

  • Formal use case: The operational context in which the parameter applies.

  • Layman’s explanation: An informal explanation written in layman's terms to assist if a full understanding isn’t obtained by this point.

  • Frequently asked questions: Included where applicable to address common queries.

Understanding Parameters vs. Settings

Throughout all Configuration articles, the following terminology is used:

  • Parameter: The Configuration option that can be adjusted.

  • Setting: The actual value chosen for that parameter.

    • Weight the forecast using the last X months of sales history
