From Wednesday 30 September 2026, your old ACH details no longer accept payments. Because ACH takes 1 to 3 business days to arrive, we recommend any payment is sent at least 3 business days before that date, so by Friday 25 September 2026. This article explains what happens to money sent to them, how long returns take, and what to do if a payment has bounced.
What happens to the money
Any payment arriving at your old ACH details on or after 30 September is returned to the sending bank or platform. It is not credited to your nsave account, and we are not able to intercept or redirect it. The money goes back to the sender, not to you.
Your nsave balance is not affected, and your SWIFT / IBAN details, card, stablecoin and ntag all work normally.
How long returns take
Returns typically take 14 business days or more to reach the sender. If a payment bounced, the sender should expect the funds back in their bank account or platform balance within that time frame. We recommend not waiting for the return before arranging another payment.
Was my payment sent in time?
Sent on or before Friday 25 September: it should settle normally before the closure. This is why we recommend sending at least 3 business days ahead.
Sent Saturday 26 to Tuesday 29 September: ACH takes 1 to 3 business days and doesn't move at weekends, so it may still be in transit on the 30th. If it arrives after the closure, it is returned.
Sent on or after Wednesday 30 September: it will be returned.
What to do if a payment bounced
Contact the sender. Tell them the payment to your old ACH details is being returned, and that the return can take 14 business days or more.
Get paid another way now. Ask them to re-send to your USD, GBP or EUR IBAN, in stablecoin (USDT or USDC), or by ntag. See how to receive money while ACH is paused. If they would rather wait, they can send by ACH once your new details are ready — we'll confirm that date by email and in the app.
If a platform paid you (Upwork, Fiverr, Payoneer), check the payment status in your platform account. Returned payouts usually reappear in your platform balance once the return completes, and you can then withdraw them to your new details.
