Who do I need to update with my new ACH details?

A checklist of the platforms, clients and employers to update once your new ACH details are live, and how to do it.

Once you have your new ACH details, every payment source you have needs them. Your old details closed on Wednesday 30 September 2026, so one source left on them is enough to lose a payment to a return that takes 14 business days or more.

Checklist

  • Freelance platforms: Upwork, Fiverr, Payoneer, and any other marketplace or payout platform you use.

  • Direct clients: anyone who pays you by bank transfer.

  • Your employer or payroll team.

  • Anything on a schedule: recurring transfers, retainers, or subscriptions paid to you.

  • The ones that pay you less often: a client who pays quarterly, an annual renewal, a platform you used once last year and left your details with.

How to update

  1. Open the nsave app, go to Account details, select your USD account and tap ACH details. Copy your new routing and account numbers.

  2. Update the payout or bank details on each platform, then go back and confirm each one saved.

  3. Ask direct clients and your employer to confirm they have replaced the old details rather than added the new ones alongside them.

Most platforms take 1 to 3 business days to verify new bank details before they will pay into them. Start the same day you get your new details so that window closes before your next payout.

Still expecting a payment to your old details?

Anything arriving at your old ACH details on or after 30 September is returned to the sender, not credited to your nsave account. Contact the sender, let them know, and give them your new details so they can send it again. See what happens to money sent to your old ACH details.
