Consumer App - Seller Functionality
Firstly it's important to remember that there is only one Street Consumer App for your customers, which is called Street.co.uk. See our Street Consumer App overview article for more information.
This article focuses on the seller role within the consumer app, outlining what functionality is available such as seller tasks (approving their listing, compliance checks and PIQ) as well as their viewings, property questions and sales offers.
You can also learn more about the consumer app functionality specifically for Buyers here, Tenants here and for Landlords here.
Overview Tab
When a seller logs in they will see the Overview tab, showing their property. Here they can see the important information such as the status, address and for sale value. They can also click the property photo to scroll through each of the photos and click into the 'property details' button to view additional information such as the property description and rooms.
Note - Property photos and details will only show if the property onboarding process has been complete and the seller has approved their listing. Prior to this, the seller will see the map location in place of the photos to prevent them seeing property details while you are building the listing.
Your branch contact details are also shown here so the seller can quickly get in touch. If they have multiple properties, at the bottom of the screen will be the address of the current property that they are viewing, tapping this will bring up a list of their properties allowing the seller to switch between them.
Note - If the seller has multiple properties for sale or let across different agencies using Street, the switch button will show the different property addresses with each agency. When they switch to view a property with another agent, the branding will update to match the agent who is marketing that property.
Appointments
Valuation and photo and measure appointments will show on the overview tab, showing the date and time, agent visiting and a description of the appointment. It is not possible for the seller to cancel/confirm these appointments, they are displayed for informational purposes only.
Tasks
Within the overview tab, the seller will see a 'Tasks' section highlighting what tasks the seller has to do.
These include submitting their compliance checks, approving their listing and submitting their PIQ and will automatically appear in the app when the property is instructed. Please see the linked articles for a more detailed breakdown of how these sections work.
Note - The compliance checks task will only show if you have the Landmark AML integration turned on. Approve your listing will only show if you have sent the listing to be approved. Property information will only show if you have the PIQ feature enabled.
Viewings Tab
The viewings tab gives an overview of any viewings on the seller's property, and is broken down into three sections:
Upcoming (all confirmed and unconfirmed upcoming viewings)
Completed (any previous viewings that went ahead, along with any feedback)
Cancelled (any viewings that were cancelled, either by agent, seller or applicant)
Viewings in the app will only show the applicant's first name and the first letter of their surname, to avoid showing too much information and sellers have the ability to accept, reject and cancel viewings from the app as well as see additional information about the applicants such as their buying and financial positions.
For more information about how sellers can manage their viewings from the consumer app, see this help article.
Offers Tab
The offers tab shows a breakdown of all sales offers that have been marked as 'Relayed to Vendor' within the sales offer page in Street, including offers that have been rejected. It also highlights the offer price, buyer and financial position and % above or below the asking price.
β
Clicking into the 'Show Additional Information' section, the seller can see a record of previous viewings on that property relating to that applicant.
Note - The seller cannot interact with offers through the app. These are shown for informational purposes only and cannot be Accepted/Rejected. Sellers are advised to contact your agency to discuss any offers.
Menu Tab
The menu tab is split into a few different sections however the key two sections for your seller are 'Your Listings' and 'property queries.
Your Listings
In the 'Your Listings' section the seller can see a direct link to their property on the portals your agency has listed it on, giving your seller easy access to their live listing.
Property Queries
The 'Property Queries' section shows any questions that your agency have submitted, either via the Street Agent app during a viewing or from property FAQ's found via the property page > Info > FAQ's.
The seller can answer these questions directly from their app, which will update in the property FAQ's section on both the Agent app, useful during viewings, and in the property in Street. The seller can also view any past questions they have responded to.
Privacy Policy & Terms and Conditions
The Privacy Policy & Terms and Conditions sections refer to Street Group's policy and T&C's.
Note - Any notes saved in your Street system, such as in the activity stream of a property or sale, will not show in the Consumer App. These are internal notes for your agency only.
Sharing the App with your Customers
If you need help in explaining how the App will benefit sellers so they are encouraged to use it, we've already made an easy to digest brochure which is available in digital format here.
β
We also provide hard copies of these for free so you can use on valuations and leave with customers to help you secure more listings. You can order copies of the brochures using this link: https://street.co.uk/support/vendor-brochures
For more information on sharing the Street consumer app download links with your customers see this help article.
Consumer App Notifications for Sellers
By default, there are a few automated notifications that are sent out to sellers, highlighting the opportunity to download the consumer app which can be managed via notification preferences.
The first time the seller is notified about the app is when the valuation is sent to the seller. This notification is in the valuations section of notification preferences and is called 'Valuation Send'. By default this has links to the Apple App Store/Google Play Store to download the app, as well as a direct link to access the valuation via browser. However, it's important to note the content of this notification can be edited via edit notification content so you can remove the app store links if you wish.
The second occasion is when the property is instructed, using the notification found in the onboarding section of notification preferences called 'Instruction Received'. Again, by default this includes links to the Apple app store / Google play however the content of this email can also be edited.
The third time the seller is notified about the consumer app is when a listing is created for their property, ie when a property is made available for sale/let and goes from the status Instructed to For Sale/To Let. At this stage, the notification found in the listings section of notification preferences called 'send seller app invitation' is sent however it's important to note that while this notification can be toggled on/off, the content of this email cannot be edited via your notification preferences.
Below is an example of what the email will look like, providing some key information on what functionality the consumer app has as well as links for the seller to download the app via the Apple app store / Google play store.
