Note: This printer does not support ARM-based Windows devices.

Step-by-Step Installation Guide

  1. Download the Installer

  2. Unzip and extract files

    • Right-click the downloaded ZIP and choose Open.

    • Select Extract all, choose your Downloads folder, and hit Extract.

    • Leave the original ZIP folder and reopen the newly extracted one.

  3. Install the Printer Driver

    • Right-click Updox.Printer.Desktop.64.bit and choose Open.

    • If prompted with a password, enter it; otherwise, click Yes to proceed.

    • For password issues, contact your IT administrator.

    • If a security warning appears, click More Info, then Run Anyway.

  4. Install the Printer Application

    • After the driver installs, double-click the second installer in the folder, updoxprint.Setup.1.2.2.

    • If prompted again, repeat the admin/password step.

  5. Review confirmation and messages

    • Installation concludes with a window showing alerts like:

      • “Oh snap! No Credentials Specified.” – This just means the app isn't connected yet.

      • “Oh snap! No pdf specified.” – This appears when opening without context.

    • Both messages are expected; click Settings to continue.

  6. Connect to your Updox account

    • In Settings, use ONE of the following:

      • Your practice’s Integration Key (found under Admin > Practice Info in Updox Inbox),
        OR

      • Your Updox username and password (not both together).

    • Click Test Connection:

      • ERROR 401 = incorrect or missing credentials.

      • “Well Done!” = successful connection.

    • Click Save, then close the window.

  7. Print using Updox Printer

    • When printing documents, select Updox Printer to send them directly to your Inbox.
