Summary
Connect your Meta ad account to Cuttable to publish ads and view performance data directly in the platform.
How to connect Meta
Select your initials in the bottom left hand corner of the Cuttable screen.
Click Settings, then open the Connectors tab.
On the Meta card, select Connect.
Follow the on-screen instructions in the Meta pop-up window.
What connecting your Meta Account enables
Connecting your Meta Account to your Cuttable account will enable you to:
Use ad creative generated in Cuttable and add it to existing Meta campaigns.
Import performance data for all Meta ads, including ads not created with Cuttable.
View ad performance in the Insights tab to help create additional ads in Cuttable.
Why Meta requests many permissions
When you enable the Meta integration, Meta requests a broad set of permissions. Meta bundles multiple actions into single permission levels and does not offer granular permission controls.
Cuttable requires this bundled access so you can:
Select which Business Manager and Ads Manager account to connect.
Manage product catalogs.
Manage ads for ad accounts you have access to.
Manage your business settings.
Read content posted on connected Pages.
See the list of Pages you manage.
Who should connect the account
The integration must be completed by the Meta Business Manager, Business Owner, or a user with full admin or ownership rights.
This is required because:
Only owner-level users can grant the full set of permissions Meta requires.
Without these permissions, Cuttable cannot sync campaigns or publish ads on your behalf.
⭐ Important: Adding Cuttable as a Meta partner does not complete the integration
You cannot complete the Cuttable integration by assigning Cuttable "partner access" through the Meta Business Manager alone. From Meta’s perspective, partner access means:
Cuttable is allowed to view or manage the ad account.
Partner access does not complete the integration in Cuttable.
How the connection works
For an ad account to appear in Cuttable, both of the following are required:
Partner access in Meta, which grants permission.
A connection initiated from Cuttable, which completes the integration workflow.
Cuttable only recognizes ad accounts that are connected through its own platform using the Meta API. This connection step tells Meta to pass the required credentials and data to Cuttable.
What happens if the ad account does not appear
If you have added Cuttable as a partner in Meta but do not see the ad account in Cuttable, the account has not been connected through Cuttable yet.
To resolve this, complete the connection from Cuttable using the steps in the How to connect Meta section above.
Ad account owned by a different Business Manager or individual
If you've shared or granted partner access to an ad account but it still doesn't appear in Cuttable, check who owns the ad account in Meta. An ad account owned by "Individual people" or by a different Business Manager than your own only grants Cuttable partner access when shared. It doesn't transfer ownership, and Cuttable needs the ad account to be owned by your own Business Manager to sync correctly.
To check and fix ownership:
In Meta Business Settings, go to Ad Accounts.
Check whether the ad account you want to connect is listed as owned by your Business Manager, or only appears because it was shared with you.
If it isn't owned by your Business Manager, select Add and follow Meta's steps to request or claim ownership of the ad account.
Once the ad account is owned by your Business Manager, complete the connection from Cuttable using the steps in How to connect Meta above.
⭐ Important: a pixel must be assigned to an ad account, not just shared, before it will appear in Cuttable. In Meta Business Settings, go to Data Sources, then Pixels, select the pixel, and use Assign to link it to the specific ad account you're connecting. The pixel dropdown in Cuttable only shows pixels assigned to a portfolio-owned ad account you've already selected, so a shared but unassigned pixel won't appear there.
