Guide to Linking Instagram Account to Facebook Page

Written by Joe Mutimer

If you're trying to publish ads from Cuttable but they're not showing in your Meta Ads Manager, it may mean Cuttable doesn't have permission to publish to your Instagram account.

This usually happens because:

  • Your Instagram account isn't added to your Business Manager, or

  • Your Instagram account isn't linked to your Facebook Page

When you connect your Meta account to Cuttable, you're giving permission to the Facebook Page you select. Those permissions don't automatically carry across to your Instagram unless the Instagram account is linked to that same Page.

Follow these steps to fix it 👇

✅ Step 1. Add Your Instagram Account to Your Business Manager

Your Instagram account needs to be added to your Meta Business Manager first.

  1. Click Add and follow the prompts to add your Instagram Business account.

  2. Log in to your Instagram account and approve the connection.

  3. Confirm your Instagram now appears in your Business Manager.

💡 Why this matters:

If your Instagram isn't in your Business Manager, you won't be able to link it to your Facebook Page or use it for ads.

✅ Step 2. Link Your Instagram Account to Your Facebook Page

Your Instagram must be connected to the same Facebook Page you select when connecting to Cuttable.

  1. Go to Facebook Page Settings → Linked Instagram Account while logged into Facebook.

  2. Choose your Business Page, then click Connect Account.

  3. Log in to your Instagram Business account and approve the connection.

  4. In your Business Manager, confirm your Instagram now shows as linked on your Page.

💡 Why this matters:

If your Instagram isn't linked to your Facebook Page, Cuttable can't access or publish to it, even though the Facebook Page itself is connected successfully.

✅ Step 3. Reconnect Meta in Cuttable

Once your Instagram is linked to the correct Facebook Page:

  1. In Cuttable, go to Settings and open the Connectors tab. On the Meta card, select Reconnect so Cuttable picks up the linked Instagram account.

  2. Log in with the Facebook account that manages your Page.

  3. When prompted, select the correct Facebook Page and Instagram account, and allow all permissions.

  4. If successful, you'll see your Facebook Page and Instagram handle both connected.

✅ Step 4. Test the Connection

Try publishing again in Cuttable.

  • If you don't see any other errors in the Meta Integration settings in Cuttable, the ads you publish directly from Cuttable should then appear in your Meta Ads Manager.
