⚠️ Important Points to Note
Default Card
Make sure your new card is set as your default payment method. If it isn’t, Meta will continue to attempt to charge the old card, which may result in your WhatsApp account being blocked.
Avoid American Express (Amex) Cards
Meta regularly encounters payment declines with Amex cards. Use a Visa or Mastercard instead to minimize the risk of payment failure.
Pay off any outstanding balance
If you have an outstanding balance on your old payment method, pay it off immediately before continuing to send messages. An outstanding balance can result in the suspension of your WhatsApp account, even after you’ve updated your card.
