Layouts in Content Packs

Bundle a saved layout into a Content Pack so teammates get the same arrangement.

Written by Holly Conrad Smith

Ship your panel arrangement alongside the rest of your reusable content.

A Content Pack can include one or more of your project's layouts. Anyone who adds the pack gets the same arrangement and the same data.

Pack your layouts

  1. When creating a pack, choose Layouts as the category.

  2. In the Layouts section, check each layout you want to include. Every layout in the project shows with a preview, and the one you have open is tagged Active. In the Layouts category, every layout starts checked. Use the select-all checkbox to check or clear them all at once.

Bundling a layout with other content

To include Layouts with other content, choose the Bundles category instead of Layouts.

What recipients get

Recipients add the packed layouts one at a time from the pack preview. Each one goes into their saved layouts for that project, and a toast at the bottom of the screen says Added layout to project. It shows up as a new tab in their layout strip, the same as one they'd created themselves. It isn't applied automatically, so it won't become their active arrangement until they switch to it. If the project already has a layout with the same name, the added layout gets a unique name. A project holds at most 10 layouts, so Giraffe skips any extra layouts and shows a warning.
